I didn't see that report and that sucks. There are some injuries you can push and that is NOT one you mess with. Even without Murray I think they can close out LA but will need Murray close to full strength to beat Minny. This place will melt if Minny makes the finals... conference finals with OKC or Dallas? and Minny would be wild.
 
Cleveland deciding to duck Philly to fight a frisky Orlando team then get murdered by Boston instead of maybe matching up against an unproven Indiana team looks pretty bad. Knicks gonna be able to make the conference finals? Been a pretty wild playoff.

Lots of small what ifs and yes history repeating? Pray for one good shooting half for Orlando in the next game. It could end the Donny Cavs.
 
People not giving OKC much of a chance. I don't think they should be favorites, but I could easily see them win it all.

I kind of hope not though.

Yeah the parity is crazy this year. I think Minny and Denver have the "best player in the series" advantage over Boston but I think all too often the Finals is really dependent on who is the most healthy... Boston I think is the least susceptible to injury. A calf strain may be the determining factor.

I could see it but youth tends to show at some point. Usually you need to collect some playoff scars before getting to or winning the finals.
 
I'm probably slighting OKC too much, they are really good and I think they will also beat whoever wins out of DAL/LAC. I just think they're a little young, and for as much as I love Chet, I think both Jokic and Gobert will prove to be too big for OKC. It's have a similar thought about Gobert vs Porzingis...the playoffs are different of course, but the easiest matchup for Gobert has been the tall skinny guys imo.

Feels like he hangs around a super team for a year or two first. Even if on a minimum its still like $3M+ for him. Remember this is the dude that banked the per diem as a rookie to eat at Subway and drove a Honda.

Feels like an LA team... maybe Phoenix. Unless Robin gives him unlimited WoW time I am not sure he is ready to quit basketball.

I was trying to interpret this, assuming it to be some kind of innuendo, before I realized it was World of Warcraft.
 
Its interesting that Minnesota and Cleveland tried to do the same kinda thing. Minny had a budding star and an all-star with some other stuff and supplemented it with an all-star. Then Ant when up a level or two. Cleveland thought Mobley was a star... and he just isn't in Ant's tier... so it may not work as well. There are other parts of the equation obviously but just shows the flaw with following "models". They all fail a lot. So you just have to follow the best route for your situation and find as many wins in the transaction/drafting game as possible.

I would say Minnesota is a degree or two more versatile and that's the main difference between the two. That's because of size and the fact they don't have much overlap in terms of skill sets.

Yeah I think that's probably true too. Minny nailed the follow up moves too. But I think the biggest difference is Mobley development has been steady and normal where Ant is taking leaps (he also likely had a better starting point).
