The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Pistons going hard after Tim Connelly. He’s expected to opt out this year regardless.

The ownership situation may cost them the dude that built a winner. This would be great if there was a mass front office exodus. We know Pistons will pay $$$ after the Monty thing. This would be HUGE imo. He's had great success finding the cheap pieces that help a sustained run. Also means he can send assets from another team to Utah lol.

The ownership group offered him some kind of deal that would give him shares of the team (or something along those lines). Really got screwed.

I don’t like neither.

The Don & Gobert era was easily my least favourite to watch and follow as a Jazzfanz, even when we got the best record in the League.

It just wasn’t a fun brand of basketball to watch.
I disagree. That season that we finished with the best record in the NBA was so much fun. We were dominant

The Hydra was legit!

I think the Rudy Don Jazz were my second favorite behind the Stockton Malone Jazz.

I liked the Deron Boozer Jazz a lot, but they never made me feel like they could win a championship.

I don't know that there will be many teams not trying to win next year. Like Wiz and Blazers are the only ones I could think of that might just full fledged tank. Hornets have a new owner and Lamelo/Miller and are in the east so may not be tanking... We might legit be able to keep Lauri and strip some other stuff from the roster and end up bottom 4 or 5.

i'm resigned to that being the best course of action now. If the ownership is serious about truly wanting to go for a title, i don't see any other way really. I don't know anything about college ball but if there are 4-5 franchise level talents in the next draft as consistently stated there seems little risk in tanking to get into that range in the draft and then build from there

Does Donny come back or just assume they are cooked for game 5. Feels like he may have played his last game as a Cav.

Gobert had too many turnovers and let the refs get to him. Other than that he had a fine, positive impact game. It definitely wasnt his best game, but the list of T'Wolves to blame for game 4, he is pretty far down and he was probably Minnesota's 2nd best player.

Posters like Elizah Huge and OL are really pathetic and it's embarrassing. I get OL is kind of a professional troll, but EH actually thinks of himself as being a smart basketball person, so it's incredibly sad..
I disagree on Rudy comments. I'm a Rudy fan but yesterday he did not play well. His defense was way below what you can expected from a 4 DPOY. And he also lots of complains with the Refs. His gesture ( one more time) will probably get him some fine and he may even be suspended. Definitly stupid.
KAT was as bad as Rudy. The only player average were Mike, NAZ and Jaden. ANT was huge and all the others sucks..

OKC being too long term focused and being a little too high on their own supply gonna cost em a trip to the western conference finals. Didn’t want to make a move. Actually helped facilitate the trade of Gafford to Dallas. Could have absolutely put a bid in on Washington. Whoops.

Imagine if they kept most of their core and added Lauri.

Yes, very ironic that they helped create the team that could eliminate them.

Presti just couldn't flip the switch to buyer, almost like an addict holding on to his first round picks. I think their explanation of wanting their young core to experience the playoffs first is dumb. The future is unpredictable and you can't count on being fully healthy every year.
