2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

So what's the deal with ESPN showing full screen shots of the panel instead of the game? Who tf cares about seeing the panel talk?????
They didn't is constantly yesterday and it sucked. You would hope that an actual basketball fan had some input on how things work so that we don't get this stupid ****.

Day 1 of hte scrimmages actually wasnt that bad but for some reason day 2 they kept just showing the interviews.

It was hilarious though they would never comment on the game until it was Bronny's game and they would be doing an interview and they would interrupt the interview to say Bronny scored.

I have a feeling this is going to be an insane offseason. Might be one of the wildest offseason to date. If Utah ends up picking Bronny, man oh man.. I'd have to say Ainge plans to shake up the league like he did in 2007 when he got Ray Allen and KG.

Supposedly the Jazz have the biggest representation at the combine according to Leif Thulein.
Somewhat understandable since we have 2 picks in the 1st and the 3d is just outside the 1st. Also, there have been some rumors about Ainge cooking something big. Even if it's not draft related, the combine is a good opportunity for Jazz FO to meet other teams and discuss all sorts of options for deals.

Enrique Freeman is Homey's sleeper. MVP of the Mid American Conference at Akron and the leading rebounder in all of D-1. "Freeman went from playing well at the Portsmouth Invitational last month to getting a G League Camp invite, and then was called up to the draft combine. The senior forward out of Akron has really been impressive through every step of the draft process so far. He can play a hybrid wing role and has great hands while catching passes in traffic and a smooth jumper from behind 3-point range. His defense is what will get him early playing time at the NBA level. He led both teams in the final scrimmage with three steals and is also a smart passer while getting out in transition."

Only negative is he turns 24 in a month.

During the Combine yesterday Givony pushed back on the MPJ comps for Risacher and suggested Franz Wagner instead.

IMO that is far more accurate. I dont see MPJ at all.

Might as well throw a pick away if you take bronny. Hopefully we do not draft him
If the Jazz take Bronny that means they are in talks with LeBron which is going to send shockwaves through the league. It means Ainge has big plans this offseason and is going to be making blockbuster moves. It would be 2 out of 3 years that Danny Ainge has made the Utah Jazz the center of media attention during the summer.

The media circus around Bronny would be annoying, but he is a legitimate NBA prospect. He's actually a very close physical comp to Donovan Mitchell. Similar weight/size w/ a 3'' shorter wingspan. Same vertical. Bronny had better shuttle run and lane agility w/ a slower sprint.
