2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

He's got a big body and he plays hard. He's got some tools. There's a bit of touch and a bit of passing, but it doesn't looks like he'll build his game around it. Honestly, I was hoping he'd be a bit more fluid and coordinated. I wanted to see a young Alonzo Mourning, and he....isn't.
His body is fine, but it wasn't anything crazy. I also hate bugs like him who pop instead of roll.

I read 76% for his free throw rate which matches Castle but he doesn't have a hitch in his shot and the ball spins appropiately and his arms and hands are set pretty good in a good pocket. Being that he is young there is a chance he reaches another level when he doesn't have to think too much on offense.
Link?

I could see the Jazz make that move for Filipowski or Ware if one of them is there. I just don't think the Jazz are happy with Kessler and Collins at the 5. Another possibility would be Carrington, or if someone like Devin Carter slips. I think if the Jazz want to buy back into this draft they should be able to. Both AJ Johnson and Nikola Djurisic look interesting. There are several other guys in the early 2nd worth picking up -- Dillon Jones, Dadiet, Tyson, etc.
I know this draft is weak at the top whats it like late first round?

FWIW, everything on RealGM has him at 9/27 in the last three years. He was 3/4 this year though which is where the 75% number may have come from.

4/8 in scrimmages at the combine, which may be significant considering the tiny sample size.
There's just no way he shot 75% from what I saw at the combine. His form was rough and the ball came out choppy, and forces too much arc on it.

2 draft scouts watching Bronny James came out and said he is undraftable. Can't shoot, can't create, can only go left, missed all his 3s but one. He's only 6-1 gents. That dude is a WASTE. Anyone that switched on him scored.

Here's the link.

Anyone drafting Bronny James should get fired.

I am starting to get a draft crush on Devin Carter.
Tested out as plus athlete that uses it functionally to rebound, play defense and has an all around offensive game. He also had a huge number of dunks for a 6’4” player.

He is going to be a good nba player for a decade.

Don’t know if he is the right fit for the Jazz

This probably should not bother me. But if you are going to critical be factual. Bronny was 6’1” barefoot. Since basketball is played in shoes most people list his listed height will probably be 6’2.5” or what is usually rounded up to 6’3”.

"Over the last couple of days, the Utah Jazz have conducted interviews with Reed Sheppard (Kentucky), Kyshawn George (Miami), Stephon Castle (UConn), Isaiah Collier (USC), Jared McCain (Duke), Dalton Knecht (Tennessee), Devin Carter (Providence), Cody Williams (Colorado) and Tyler Kolek (Marquette)."

"This is in addition to interviews with Zach Edey (Purdue), Rob Dillingham (Kentucky), Donovan Clingan (UConn), Ron Holland (G League Ignite) and Alexandre Sarr (Perth Wildcats), which were previously reported by the Deseret News."

If this is a complete list, it means that the Jazz didn't meet with Matas Buzelis or JaKobe Walter. Maybe it's just due to circumstance. I would have thought the Jazz would also meet with Filipowski and possibly Kel'el Ware.

Also, the only guy who might be available at #29 or #32 on this list is Tyler Kolek. With late picks this year, one would think the Jazz would meet with a half dozen players in that range--e.g., McCullar, Tyson, Smith, AJ Johnson, etc. Maybe the Jazz want to move one or both of those later picks, or maybe they just ran out of time.

Also from the Des News article: "[Cody] Williams, who was previously expected to be picked somewhere between 10 and 20 on draft day has continued to rise over the last few weeks and there are several teams that seem to be interested in the Colorado wing in the top 10 of the upcoming draft. League sources indicated that both Charlotte (sixth pick) and Portland (seventh) are looking very closely at Williams."

I'm going to go with what they say over you but thanks!
