How Green Are You?

No, not talking about being green with envy, because you're not an Insider (#HateMeCuzUAintMe #Jelly).

No, in this thread we're talkin' 'bout how environmentally conscious you are.
Is it something you even care/think about? Is it all a big hoax to you? Waste of time? Very important?
Do you take any action regarding those thoughts (if any), etc.
Discuss.

Here's a pretty cool innovation:

I don't waste things for the sake of wasting them and I don't deny that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. That said, I don't place a lot of value on keeping our planet's environment static.

My car gets 40 mpg and pollutes less per gallon than most because it is a clean diesel. I try to recycle. And I studied environmental studies for my undergrad. but I am american, and inherently use more than I need just because of how our country works.

Every scrap of wire from our jobs get recycled (more because of the $ it brings me than being environmentally right). I am conscientious about recycling as much as possible. I recently upgraded all of my light bulbs to either LED or CFL. The car we drive gets about 14 MPG.
So overall, not really green.

Not as green as I should be. North America really needs to get its **** together on this front.

Put... put your dick in it.

I'm only green when it's financially convenient. The green movement was born out of the 1980's propoganda campaign to brainwash kids into thinking population will destroy the world. The opposite has happened and today the environment is cleaner than it's ever been. That's why they created global warming as a last ditch effort to convince us we need to go back to the stone age.

We need to take a wrecking ball to the EPA. If anything the bat **** crazy right wingers get right that is it.

You're so naive it's cute. Environmentalism is a luxury for the rich. Think about it.

It is a luxury for the secure, not the rich. Where I come from, very few people give a **** about the environment. That applies to both rich and poor. They have more immediate problems to worry about, and environmentalism simply hasn't made it into their consciousness. People in developed countries, both rich and poor, tend to care a lot more about the environment. It is yet another reason why industrialization is so important to the long term survival of mankind.

I generally see Franklin as a pretty smart, critical thinking guy who understands what is going on around him. Unless he is trolling, that perception is far from correct on this topic.

Heh, that's cute coming from a college mindset brat.

You'll be hard pressed to prove otherwise, unless you're going back before the industrial age when mankind slaughtered species wholesale if it fit there needs. Nobody wants to go back to that.

Your words, not mine. Also, I'd love to hear why my words are cute based on the fact that I'm still going to college.

Find me any proof that the oceans are currently at their cleanest point in the world's history.
