What's new

Kanter said what?!?!?!

Only 5 people can start on a team. Simply not being a starter does not mean you've been "mismanaged". Kanter got minutes last year, and he got minutes this year (he even started over a much more deserving big). Sexual Favors argument is that his minutes weren't rhythm minutes, but I don't find that to be compelling. If you need a philosophy degree to explain why Kanter is justified in being butt hurt, then he wasn't really justified in being butt hurt.

A combination of not starting and also finally being utilized in OKC has only reinforced how he was underused and mismanaged here.

Jazz fans, kanter is a hell of a player. Give him credit. He's the second best scorer right now on a playoff team

When the fans boo Kanter his 12 year brain will be filled with emotions he can't comprehend which means were going to get a very entertaining post game interview.

Haven't you guys trolled Kanter with your hate for him all the years he here. Well guess what bet you Trey Burke's is going to say the same stuff. Hayward was two feet out the door when he was matched. He wouldnt have been singing praises of his time here. You sure would have been crying as a collective group of babies then. Kanter os just trolling Jazzfanz like you spewed out for the last 3 plus years.

I'm playing devils advocate here, but was Max Ergul right about Enes? The change for Enes has been very good. That said, he didn't have to go quite so far on his appraisal of the Jazz.

Yep, since the NBA is a zero sum game, I hope Kanter fails and somebody better gets a chance. . .

I once was benched in favor of the coach's son, who sucked. I hated basketball for a while after that.

Did you go to the school newspaper to cry about it?

I understand he was be frustrated during his time here but going to the media and throwing under the bus the FO, coaches, teammates, fans, the city? That's just being a a douchebag, really unprofessional. At the end of the day we are fans, bicht about a lot of things, but he is a professional athlete. As frustrated a player may be, you don't see them going public like this. What about this tweet after he was traded?:

A huge thank you to the @utahjazz ,my teammates, coaches and the amazing #JazzNation for the last four years... You were all awesome!

You leave it at that, move on and keep playing. Now he is just being a immature prick

On a night that should be a chance for us to pay tribute to Hot Rod, instead it will be overshadowed by this pieceof**** *******.

Nah, those of us who appreciated Hot Rod over the course of decades that he was with the Jazz will be thinking of him and not a player that probably won't even get a footnote in the history of this organization.

What a ****in dickbag. I might start liking him now.

Irony is he was pretty clear that fans like me were the reason his *** got twisted like hard candy. Too bad what I made him is what I now like, and what he hates me for.

I get the bitching about Corbin and all, but what exactly was Kanter's excuse for not giving it his all when the Jazz got Snyder? He was playing starter minutes, had the 2nd highest USG% on the team, and he and his agent even came out of there way to both say they really liked Snyder and his staff.

Guys like Kanter make excuses for the reasons they are inadequate. He's playing hard now... when FA doesn't go as planned he will turn back into a pouty bitch. Gobert didn't pout when he had to give back his starting gig... he just went out there and killed people with the time he got.

So glad Kanter is gone. Can't wait to see him benched in the playoffs cuz he can't hang.

He is a great player offensively, perhaps we didn't utilize him properly. But that's half of the game. He was oftentimes being benched due to this poor defense or stupid turnovers. He was held accountable. I've been watching some OKC games and that's not the case at all. Of course he is gonna be happy there. There is an interesting piece Lowe wrote about OKC, it includes some info about Kanter:

No wonder Utah was anxious to give Rudy Gobert more minutes. Kanter is a sieve against the pick-and-roll. He runs around and shifts his feet, but his timing and footwork are all wrong, and any top-level ball handler can blow by him into the paint. Several teams have already run the “go at Kanter on every possession” crunch-time offense, and that would figure to intensify in the playoffs. Oklahoma City is allowing 109 points per 100 possessions with Kanter on the floor, even worse than the league’s worst defense.

Honestly, **** Kanter. Hope he blows out both achilles tonight from the sheer force of rudy stuffing him.

After reading the ESPN version, I read his "I didn't bring it" comment differently.

"I know I didn't bring it every night, but I think almost everything was a frustration," Kanter said. "But I'm still happy for both sides. It worked out well for both sides."

I think he is talking about consistancy of productuon, like taking blame for it, not saying he didn't try.

Couple the above with his comment about not wanting to disrespect the team and his friends, I think there is a good chance we may be reading more into certain comments because of a language barrier. Still not a cool or smart interview, and his mountains comment was douchey, but I'm a little less pissed.

I hope Utah boos him like no player has ever been boo'd before.

Kanter is in damage control mode now to salvage what he can for his next payday. Nothing more, nothing less. He still sits in the bottom 10 centers in RPM - even with his OKC play taken into account. Let's see what GM wants to take a chance on that stat being a fraud.

I hope Utah boos him like no player has ever been boo'd before.

He gonna cry... Utah fans are ruthless.

I say Gobert throws his stuff 3 times tonight. I think he's ready to show Enes the real reason he is no longer here.

Way to generalizing. I praised him as did others.

Keep on hating.
