David Locke toasts Kanter on 1280

I don't get how "Enes Kanter took 4 fold more time away from coaches than any other player" is necessarily a bad thing. Doesn't that imply he tried very hard to get better?

It might be that the coaches had to spend 4X as much time with him yet he still sounds like an ungrateful, whiny little bitch. Shouldn't he be thanking the team and coaches for trying to help him instead of this **** we've heard from him the last few days?

I get that, I also get it took him longer to understand simple things. However it does go against the he didn't try narrative.

If he didn't establish that narrative to some, he certainly reinforced it in others with his own words that could plainly see the reality occurring. And effort in-game is about as different from in-practice as it gets.

Except for the fact he said he didn't try. AND if you need 4X as much time as someone else to pick something up you aren't trying. Unless its math.

I'm not even sure it means he was trying in practice. Just because the coaching staff are spending a lot of time to help you improve, doesn't mean you, yourself, are putting forth the effort. According to Locke, the management did not feel confident that he is putting forth the effort required to improve, which is why they were reluctant to offer him a big contract (unlike Burks, whom they consider a hard worker).

Kids who need tutors even at early ages aren't trying more than the "gifted" kids who understand everything easily. If only those kids who spent extra time talking to their teachers after class were not so lazy.

My sister, an incredibly bright person who went on to earn a doctorate, was a terrible student growing up. My parents' solution? Tutors. And yet, she remained a terrible student, despite all of the money spent on and effort expended by the tutors. That's because her attitude and mentality prevented her from applying the effort needed to succeed.

Except Kanters parent's aren't forcing him to be tutored. They are in a entirely different country.

My bad. I should have known better than to expect you to be capable of understanding the concept of an analogy. I will go back to skipping over your posts lest I waste any more time.

Is she hot? Let's be in-laws.

Cornered like a rat and forced to ad hominem. As expected coming from someone you.
