Following potential 2015 draftees

I think u are both wrong. He is nothing like Davis while Cy is overrating him. I would rather have Davis than Looney, fwiw.

I think you are way off. He can defend any NBA 3 IMO.

He's a tweener... He will get roasted by NBA 3s. He moves well for a PF, but its not amazingly well. If he is successful in the NBA it will be at the 4.

What evidence do you have? DX seems to think he can guard 3's just fine.

The same evidence that you watched him and think he has good IQ and will be a 3 and D guy. It's guesses. I watched him several times... He gets rebounds and puts them back, moves well laterally, but one thing that struck me was he was the last guy down on a lot of offensive possessions... maybe he had off nights. I never saw any of these perimeter skills people seem to think he has.

DX also has him in the 20s bro, so yeah they love him.

He is the MVP of this AWFUL McD game, imo.

Will be interesting to see how much it hurts ISU/helps the Johnnies that they hired Matt Abdelmassih.

A couple of those bigs in the Micky D's game could barely run the court and looked like crap when they got the ball in the post. I couldn't figure out what they even were doing there. Is that class supposed to pretty weak?

The class has been expected to be awesome. It looked awful to me. Worst McD's game I ever did lay my eyes upon.

Chris McCullough is declaring. Could be a good guy to get in second round. Had an injury otherwise would probably be a first rounder. He can spend the year developing and healing as we won't have any PT for him.

Not exactly evidence, just opinion, but DX is just speculation as well at this point. He didn't do much guarding of NBA caliber 3's this season and from what I've seen of his quickness/movement it's good for a 4, but would be borderline atrocious at the 3. Can you really see Looney stepping out and having to guard a player like Hayward?

What? Ed Davis is pretty much just a center.

Looney can shoot 3's and defend SF and PF"s. At this point he is a defensively versatile player who rebounds with 3&D capabilities who has a strong IQ. He is kind of lanky right now, but I think he has a solid frame to add strength. Let's not forget he was playing with a fractured face toward the end of the season. He is offensively raw, but I think there are enough flashes to believe he will develop in that area.

did not expect this from cy on looney. bravo my friend bravo

Yeah, I think he is being underrated athletically because he is awkward with the ball in tight spaces.

I think it is funny the differences of opinion.

looney is the perfect tweener to come in off the bench. he can play the 3 or the 4 depending on the situation. he is skinny but has broad shoulders and can gain weight and strength. if the jazz drafted him I would like to see what he can do with a summer at P3. I personally would take lyles over looney at this point.

I have said this before but I would love Andrew Harrison in the second round. can do a lot worse as your 3rd pg.

Could Hezonja ended up being more of a Galinari but at the SG position (i.e., an average NBA career)?

I know he has potential to be Ginobili but who says he can't become more of a Galinari? For every Nowitzki there are 100's of Bargnani's.

I dont' wanna be racist or anything but I worry about native European wings.... (so the GreekFreak doesn't count).

Hezonja is a seriously better athlete than Galinari. Much quicker and more explosive. Also has a quicker shooting release.

I think Looney is a better version of Marvin Williams---better rebounder, better passer, better length, better motor. I think he'll be a fringe starter and okay rotation player. He doesn't have star potential, but could do well in the right system.

How many 6'9 freshman PF's are there in college ball taking a rebound coast to coast for a finish or a dime? Looney has potential.

If we draft Looney or Turner I'll be happy. One of them will be available at 12.

Haha.. I can imagine you're the kind of person who looks at the cloudy sky on a Monday morning and say to yourself "Well I'm happy it's not raining". :roll eyes:

There is a lot that can be said about that outlook on life actually...
