I understand there are reasons to hate him. But he cheated here. I'll say again to think he didn't know/ order it is naïve. I think this goes to the integrity of the game every bit as much as the Saints fiasco and spy gate. How Belicheat gets away without a punishment in this is a joke. Brady deserved at least these 4 games for not cooperating. I'll say that if the NFL felt they had 100% proof that Brady did this he'd be out for an entire year. The fact that it is even a little questionable probably saved him 12 games of suspension. To me this is worse than players using a little pot in their free time. Because that has no effect on the actual games and this does.

except that you have no factual evidence that he cheated. belichick is probably the greatest QB in this generation in all sports. just a great coach a master of his craft. spygate also was a joke - taping a guy in front of 80k people was a common practice. ask jimmy johnson and bill cowher about it.

When I play basketball you can tell the ball is under inflated in seconds. The defense of the Colts realized it was deflated when they picked it off. They had noticed in a previous game that it was deflated. So how the **** can the guy who handles the ball 70+ times a game not realize it. In summary thinking he didn't know is naïve.

this is what i know

1. brady played with 'fat' and 'heavy' football against the Jets 10/16/2014.
2. brady was angry that his ball was tampered by refs - ball boys measured the ball and it was 16psi.

brady obviously hated playing with 16psi football. did brady just tell ball boys to

1. 'boys. i hated that frigign balloon! you are fired if i ever have to play with the balloon again!'
2. 'boys. i want my ball to be at 12.5. say it with me. 12.5. 13.5? you are fired. 14.5? you are fired. 16 like last time? you are fired'

and if you ever played football - if ball is too under inflated, it actually hurt your performance. for a RB? it can help(but no real difference between 11.5 vs. 12.5. but for a QB who throws football for living? it can hurt. see the post above.

if brady was 6fter with a small hands i understand the logic of playing with 11.5 psi football. but brady is 6ft 4 3/8 with huge hand.

my common sense says

1. brady likes to play at 12.5 and 1psi loss happened naturally (which the science under ideal gas law already proved by multiple experiments by many experts).
2. brady made sure 10/16/2014 doesn't happen again even though brady actually plays better with properly or over inflated football (against the jets, colts, and seahawks - brady played flawlessly)
3. it's been a non issue. after all this issue was raised just now. if brady cheated all his career then maybe somebody would've brought it up. again, 11.5 vs 12.5 has no real difference. you can't even tell.

this fiasco would've been absolutely non story if it was carson palmer or alex smith. all they had to do was warn the pats.

if you followed brady's career, only thing he hates more than losing is probably getting followed by paparazzi. all he ever cares about his having a 'private time' with his family. so for 15 years he has developed the habit of being private and being super smart about not getting caught in tabloid media frenzy. this is well documented actually.

Chief among them are (a) that there isn't any scientific evidence given for loss of psi due to worsening weather conditions and play (which certainly happened); (b) there isn't ANY direct evidence that any deflation of the footballs was meant to take the balls below the minimum level.

I will give you that other teams push in different areas. But once you push to far you are breaking the rules. NE has been in this scenario before. These footballs and their levels of inflation is not why they beat the Colts. However I fully support the integrity of the game argument. The Pats, again, cheated and got caught. I would expect this was a long time practice and it could have affected the outcome of any number of the games that determined playoff seeding, who made the playoffs and playoff advancement.

Changes need to be made but the Pats gettign punished is the right call. As for other teams doing it...then if/when they get caught then they need to be punished as well. Even if it is my beloved Broncos.
