Following potential 2015 draftees

See, I'm starting to get psyched about Gobert / Turner, but I admit we may have to move up to get Turner.

I'm not sure Turner is compatible with Gobert. He isn't the knock down shooter that Frank is... Yet. He is slower than frank... Maybe he's better now that he's been working on his body and gait... But I think he'd be limited to non-Gobert floor time.

Since when is 21-22 too old to improve? ****, Rudy played professional ball for a number of years and he's still developing at age 22. Obviously his physical stature gives him more room to grow, but why can't Kaminsky be like Ryan Anderson?

This age **** is so played out. Players can still improve. Feels like some people only wanna draft players 20 and under.

I still haven't been able to think of a guy his size with his shooting and passing ability that wasn't successful... Fish said bargnani but I think he'd be successful if he had franks drive or basketball IQ.

At the same time. He wasn't a scrub. He was expected to be a star so he's thought of as a scrub. He's not. Her have been a great 6 th man who can come in hit 3 's and be a scorer off the bench. That's what he should've been drafted as

The only way Frank isn't successful is if he's a complete disaster defensively. There really shouldn't be any questions about his ability on the offensive end.

Okay, here's a new take on how the draft shakes out:

T'wolves take Towns to pair with Wiggins.

Lakers take Mudiay to be their PGOTF. They could also go Okafor here.

Sixers take Russell to be their PGOTF.

Knicks take Okafor to be their post scorer. They could also trade the pick.

Magic take Hezonja to be their lead shooter/scorer. They could also go Turner or Porzingis.

Kings take Turner to replace Jason Thompson. Porzingis is too risky for this franchise.

Nuggets take Cauley-Stein as BPA. They could also go with Winslow or Porzingis.

Pistons take Porzingis as BPA. They could also go with Winslow, Oubre or Johnson.

Hornets take Winslow They could also go with Oubre, Johnson or Booker.

Heat take Oubre. They could also go with Johnson.

Pacers take Johnson as BPA. They could also go with Booker.

So the Jazz in this scenario look at Looney, Lyles, Kaminsky and Booker. My guess is that's why Locke is trying to sell us a bit on Looney or Lyles.
Damn. Charlotte gets a steal

I want the jazz to take Frank I this situation.

There's certainly questions about his post up game translating.

I thought he was better on the perimeter spotting up and shooting or pump faking and driving.

I actually think Turner is a very intriguing prospect. I don't see him as Jermaine O'Neal. I see him as Channing Frye with some post up potential.

I think he could legitimately compete for the #12 spot for me against Frank. If the Jazz find themselves lucky enough to be in that situation, I would be very tempted to take Turner and his potential over Frank.

Seriously though, why won't Frank be Money Memo? Or Ryan Anderson? If we had that 07-10 Memo coming off our bench we'd be a top 5 team in the league even without a starting NBA PG. give us a starting PG like Patty Mills and it's between us and GS for the west.

That was kind of what I said. If bargnani was drafted 12 I don't think he's a bust at all. He is not a competitor... Frank absolutely is. I liked the comp because they have similar size and will have the same struggles on defense... I just think frank will try much harder.

yeah I like Turner and Frank. Either one I'm happy. Which of the two? Not sure. Based on the little info I have I'd gamble on Turner I think.

I guess I can buy this, but if Utah drafts him it won't be for his post-up game. Also, even if he struggles against some players in the post, I think his ability to pass will still make him an effective player on that end.

Kaminsky has great footwork and a face up game. He's not incredibly strong, but Gasol wasn't that big either as a rookie. Gasol got stronger I'm guessing Kaminsky can too. The main thing is footwork and touch and coordination which he has

He didn't spot up that much from 3. Interesting thing to note is that his %s from 3 jumped once he DECREASED the number of 3s he took. First two years he was shooting 5-6 attempts per 40 mins and shot 29% and 31%. In his third year he got more playing time/maybe he could get in better rhythm, but he shot less frequently at 3.8 attempts per 40 and shot 37%, then lowered them to 3.1 attempts this year and shot 41%.

The thing I absolutely agree with you about is that his passing and high IQ in offense gives me a great hope he will be a great player for us.

A t-rex could have problems finishing over the length of NBA defenders.

Good thing there aren't that many towering 4's, but if it's all the same great foot work trumps small arms. And don't forget he is great on the perimeter so his post play will be opportunistic he will pick his spots plus he's a great and willing passer

There are a few options that will likely be available that I'd probably take over Kaminsky, but I'd be cautiously optimistic if we took him.

I think most scenarios played out that way....
