Following potential 2015 draftees

We could definitely use anohter wing.

Ingles is funny, but he isn't a rotation player on a contending team. I think we need to upgrade that 4th wing for sure. Unless Millsap develops a consistent 3pt shot, we will have to get another quality wing.

Same goes with every position right now. All our backups kind of suck or are just OK other than Hood and, at times, Booker (though he hasn't really shown to be consistent enough). We definitely need upgrades everywhere.

Personally I would highlight back-up center as our least concern since I'd rather just see us go small when Gobert isn't in the game.

That's debatable.

I don't think it's a must we get another wing. What are we going to do with that person? Start them over Burks and Hood? Surely we aren't going to play them over Hayward.

I think Ingles a just fine for a 4th wing. You need guys who don't expect to be plating starter minutes. It's goes to helping out with chemistry, and he wasn't all that bad, and got better as the year went on, and could get even better.

I'll take another wing, but it's not a must imo.

I like Booker too, for the same reasons, he's a great backup power forward. He'll know his role off the bench. Plus you have to love the guy. I know I do. I'm a big fan. He brings a lot of energy and is pretty good.

What are we going to do with another point guard? Are we really going to tell Exum and Burke to have a seat so we can play some other guy over them? It will just make them go sour, and hate the team, and we'll have another Kanter situation. We pretty much have to give them another chance. Then if doesn't work, make a mid season trade and bail.

That leaves us with the only need of a backup center. We can easily fill the 3rd point guard role with someone like Cotton.

If we want another wing, then just pick one up in free agency. Like KJ McDaniels

So you don't think his value is high enough in the regard that in a trade #12 & Hood for #7 or #8, it would be an even deal?

I think everyone is underestimating Hood. Dude put up a few 20 pt games and the kid can also shoot the rock. Jazz need more shooters so why are people wanting to get rid of one of the best shooters on the team.

THere is really no realistic real trade that will allow the Jazz to move up without gutting our roster. Jazz need to add more talent and not make trades that may or may not increase our talent.

Jazz need to strengthen their bench. THis automatically happens with Burks coming back. So the Jazz need to have more scoring off the bench -#12 pick. Then maybe add a free agent that is a glue guy. I would rather throw in Burke plus additional draft picks then also include Hood. So Burke #12, OKC first or GS first (with protection) or our 2016 pick which won't be so high. The Jazz don't really need two first round picks next year + the Jazz have a boat load of 2nds.

Give the team another year under Quinn and then see what you have. If you trade 2 guys and 2 or 3 picks for one player that player better be at least a superstar or multiple year all-star guy. I don't see any realistic trades to move that high up and I don't really think there is a guarantee superstar in this draft.

I think you are over estimating just how many of us would give up on Hood that easily. He has a lot of fans here. I'm a big fan and wouldn't be throwing him in as trade fodder. It's just a few people that would.

Highlights from Aris vs Olympiakos(Greek League semi-final playoff) today(Vezenkov 28pts(9/16FG, 3/6 3pFG, 7/11 FT, 6rbs, 2ast, 1bl, 1st):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgqk7gtonAA

Vezenkov is No. 14. Shows he can back up smaller players in the post when switched on him and finish with skill around the rim. Had a nice backdoor cut and a nice quick trigger for a 3 in that video. Intriguing for a second round pick...

Olympiakos was one of the best teams in Europe this year - played final in the Euroleague vs Real Madrid.

Many thought Burke could have gone top #3 in that draft had he been a few inches taller.

Burke was projected to go #2 to Orlando for awhile there.

I was so happy when we got him, I still like him.

Contrary to popular belief, I think he can still be a good player.

He doesn't shoot a good percentage, but he is a good shooter. He averaged 12.8 PPG last year on 8 shots a game. I just think he isn't meant to be a starter, now that he will go through a full offseason of being a bench player and working with the staff I think he can be a very solid player off the bench.

I watched almost every Jazz game this year and to me it seemed like he was taking good shots.

I'm thinking the season thing too. I wouldn't just throw him out with the trash. He can still get better.

He wasnt worth trading up for or even picking, but he sint a complete bust. He can be useful.

I would trade Hood in a deal for Hezonja. Hood's a nice player, but he's near his ceiling, imo, and probably is a back-up on a contending team. Just not athletic enough to change the game.

If there was an award for "poster that routinely says the dumbest **** and no one seems to call them out for it", you'd be the winner every year.

I'd rather trade 2 future firsts than Hood right now.

Ummm he shot the ball 13.1 times per game to get that 12.8 pts which is almost last in the league for PG who play regular minutes. It's JLlll territory.

I wouldn't give up on him yet unless we got a first rounder for him but just wanted to make sure we got facts straight.

Stitches shouldn't have been quoted in last one... Fat fingers small phone and multitasking.

Lol, I guess I just looked at his 2 pointers attempted. It does change things, but my point is he is a good shooter. He just didn't shoot well this year or last year which is really weird.

Wasn't great... shot 8/20...

He has some stuff in his shot that needs to be fixed or he'll never be consistent. I think he could be a good shooter but I'm not ready to declare him a good shooter at all.

My biggest issues are he slows the game down and doesn't move the ball. Some say its because he takes so many shots at the end of the shot clock and I think that is actually his fault. There is still something there but I'm losing hope he can find it with consistency.

His form sucks... It's been one of my issues with him, but after every interview he has I think... I'd want that guy on my team. I think he's taj Gibson level... Isn't a play making four but does a lot if good things and has a great attitude.

Lol.

Ya, that didn't look great at all. It's a slow wind up catapult.

No thank you

Nice. I think the Jazz FO would actually agree with me on this one. You're overvaluing Hood for his performance in mostly meaningless games towards the end of the year. Kevin Pelton's analytical comp for Hood most recently is Calbert Cheaney. I'm not in a hurry to trade Hood away by any means, but would do it if that's what it takes to get Hezonja, who will be a significantly better player. Quote me.

Nice to see some workout video that isn't all made shots.

It's going to take time for him to extend his range that far. IDK if he will ever be able to be a good 3pt shooter, but he has a chance.

A lot of people are comparing Hezonja to JR Smith...

Too many unknowns in this draft to trade up. There are guys in the Jazz' range I like better than some of the guys in the top 10.
Kaminsky would be great, but I'd bet on the eventually bigger haul in Turner (given the choice - but the Jazz should count themselves lucky if one of them falls to 12).

Kaminsky's probably a rich man's Memo.
Turner - who knows? but maybe a shot blocking Lamarcus Aldridge?

His form is unorthodox, it doesn't suck. He has a high release, it's not slow, and it's consistent. He gets good arc and rotation. Nothing to fix there, just needs to tweak it for more consistency.

Not sure why form should be an issue when he is a well above average mid-range shooter. It may limit his ability to be a knock-down 3pt shooter, but I doubt it will limit his ability to become a good corner 3pt shooter or midrangeg shooter.
