Following potential 2015 draftees

Just see a more modern TD in KAT.

He's been growing on me for a while. I am not sure if he's going to be as good for as long as TD has been, but he's extremely skilled, I was watching him handle the ball in a workout and I was like ... damn... his handle is like a guard's.

Would you trade Favors + 12 + picks for No.1?

A benefit from trading Burks to move up and grab Mario is that we reset the clock on retaining the rights to an asset, and he's cheaper.

That's besides the idea that Mario could be a lot better than Burks.

I honestly don't know what to think about Burks. I use to be a huge fan, and was always defending him. But over time he hasn't really grown and improved. He's pretty much the same player. He's great at layups and that's about it. His shooting is eratic, and his defense is terrible. He seems like a guy who could be an all star. But maybe he just doesn't fulfill that potential. He has real concerning holes in his game. He still struggles with free throws for crying out loud.

He shot 82% from the line on 4.8 FTA per game this year (27 games). Good sign.

Yeah, probably. That talk is dumb though cuz it's impossible to trade up for Towns unless you have a top 10 player.

Kind of like WCS too and he may not have tainted meat either. Devin Booker must have saved some of them from getting tainted somehow with his Mississippi powers.

About Burks, my biggest problem with him is breaking his habit of putting the ball on the floor the first thing when he gets it. He just needs to learn to shoot it off the catch when he's open at the 3p line. His catch and shoot 3s numbers last two years have been great(42% last year and 43% this year) and if he just starts shooting more of them instead of trying to go for contested drives in the crowded paint or taking 1 dribble pullup and going for a long 2, he'd be good.

I love Favors, but yeah, I'd do that deal without much hesitation.

I think sactown would give us #6 for #12 and a couple of future first and or taking a bad contract off their hands.

3 contracts they might move

Thompson - Thompson only has 1 year left but only 6.5 but unloading him they will have a lot of money to spend this summer.

Landry - is the piece they would want to move with 2 yrs 13 mill left. although he is a great bench player who makes a bench stronger so they might want to keep him.

collison - if they target Payne and or take Burke this might be an option.

So who's gonna bust from this year's Kentucky bunch?

Only if they have some target in mind for FA that they can only get by unloading contracts. Since FA happens after the draft, there is no way for them to be certain of them being able to land whatever big name FA they would target, so I don't think it's going to happen.

He'll no.

Favors looks pretty damn good now. Towns is still a maybe. And that sets us back like 4 years because we have to wait for him to hopefully develop a game as good as Favors

Gonna LOL if Minny picks Okafor over Towns.

I'm not. I don't want Towns ANYWHERE near Los Angeles. If it was the Knicks at 2. . . sure. . . fire up the laughs. But I don't want the Lakers to get the best player from this draft. Okafor/Mudiay, I can handle. Just hoping that if the Wolves take Towns that the Lakers don't take Russell.

If you're asking if I'd trade Hood, I'd definitely consider it, although I'd prefer to keep him if at all possible. I'd also consider moving Burks to get Hezonja. Not trading Exum, though.

I definitely wouldn't trade Exum for him either. Nor would I Hood, unless it was straight up (+ another minor asset- definitely not #12). I would however (reluctantly) trade our pick + Burks if it came down to it, although I would 1st obviously try to do so at a lower price.

You kind of have to unload Burks, or at least Hood, if you get Hezonja. Otherwise you face a Kanter situation where he becomes so disillusioned with the franchise because of lack of minutes and under performs. Seems like a guy who wants minutes now because he is tired of being benched in Europe. Doesn't strike me as a patient team first, whatever the coach wants, kind of guy.

This.

I've said it a million times. Well. Before the Kanter situation even popped up.

You gotta manage people when you are managing a team. It isn't just about collecting talent. It isn't a video game. Hell even video games make you manage the people if you don't turn that mode off.

I like Burks, but I also really like Mario. That's why I talk about trading him for him, it's because you have to and I'd rather it be him than Hood, because Hood projects as a better shooter. Something we really need.

Those modes freaking blow. Someone is always pissed off about something.
