Following potential 2015 draftees

Myles Turner draft stock has been rising quickly. RealGM forumers think he'll be gone 5-9 range. If he's available at 8, Jazz should trade up for him.

Still a lot of workouts to go. Remember Vonleh rose from like 9 to as high as 4 in some mocks but it was mostly smoke screens. He ended up going 9.

Bigs usually see their draft stock rise. I could see both Turner and Kaminsky off the board by #12. Could even see Philly reach or trade back a few spots to pick one of the two. Embiid may never be healthy enough to play basketball with that injury.

Dream draft/off-season:

1. Trade #12/Burks/Burke to SAC for #6 (Hezonja)

Don't know if SAC does this, but they never seem to be able to fully commit to a rebuild like they should & would still be able to get their big man to pair with Cousins at #12 while picking up a player who is ready to contribute along with another player who, despite his struggles, still has potential. I believe they have the cap space to absorb their contracts, which would free an additional 12ish mil. I would also add 2nd rd picks or even the OKC 1st to make it happen.

2. Trade non-guaranteed contracts to BOS for Wallace & Olynyk

Don't know if BOS is willing to part with Olynyk as there have been reports that they have moved on from trying to sign Love, but they may still do so in order to rid themselves of Wallace's 10 mil expiring contract. I would even throw in the OKC 1st (if not traded to SAC) to get this done, & even tho it would use up the 12ish mil saved in the previous trade (leaving us with our original 10-12 mil in cap space), it would fill our need for a stretch big & add another valuable member to our core of young players.

3. Sign a FA PG willing to come off the bench

With about 10 mil still available to use in FA, we should be able to sign one of Lin or Beverly (or whoever) to a reasonable contract. Beverly may be looking for a starting job, but Lin would likely be willing to come off of the bench & serve as a mentor to Exum. If Dante doesn't improve as expected, Lin would be able to slide into the starting lineup for a playoff push.

Exum/FA PG/Cotton
Hood/Hezonja/Millsap
Hayward/Ingles/Wallace
Favors/Booker
Gobert/Olynyk

I know most would prefer to hang on to Burks & see what he can do before moving on from him, but replacing him with Hezonja would be a much better long-term move as Hezonja has all-star potential while Burks seems relegated to the bench due to our current roster structure & would also avoid any potential minute distribution problems without having to part with one of Ingles/Millsap. This seems to be the best combination of focusing on the long-term, while still giving the team an opportunity to be competitive in the short-term without disrupting team chemistry too much.

Sorry if this doesn't really belong in this this thread, didn't know where else to put it.

TLDR: Move up for Hezonja (by trading #12/Burks/Burke to SAC for #6), trade for Olynyk (by absorbing Wallace's contract), & sign a FA PG

Also, if SAC isn't willing to move from #6 to #12, maybe we trade #12/Booker to MIA for #10/McRoberts, as has been suggested, which would likely reduce what we would have to send to SAC to move up to #6. This is all assuming that ORL doesn't draft Hezonja.

Apples and oranges. Universities have a social scene all to themselves. Not so the pros. (Setting aside the fact that Kansas is a state)

Kansas is a college located in Lawrence, Kansas, which is a city.

Also pretty sure he could have gone to college's with much bigger social scenes than KU.

Indiana worked out both Turner and Kaminsky today. Here are a few tweets regarding it:

When Kaminsky did finish inside for a layup, he was set up nicely by guard T.J. McConnell's drive that drew Turner temporarily away from rim

Kaminsky didn't finish inside when around a defender (once blocked by Turner, twice bothered by smaller guards). Looked better on perimeter

We saw Frank Kaminsky come into Wandos with a girl on each arm. He ignored everyone and acted like a jerk. Walked out by himself. #KARMA

So some girl on twitter thinks Frank was rude cuz he was preoccupied with two chicks that he smashed in the club?

“Some people say that I’m lazy. Some people say that I don’t work hard all the time, and that’s not true. This year at Kansas it may have come off as lazy because I really didn’t understand some of the things that I was doing, so it caused me to so slow down. When I don’t understand something I slow down to try to get it right. I don’t want to just do anything throw anything out there; I want to be a perfectionist. (I have to) go hard every time, even if I mess up. I’ve learned over the past year in college that if I’m not going hard it’s because I’m thinking, so stop thinking and just play.”

Oubre speaking to Basketball Insiders

Wow, sounds like Oubre killed it based on TJones' tweets. DLocke said there wasn't rudy workout so far. Maybe this is the one?

Oubre was one of the most confident pre-draft interviews ever.

BTW worth pointing out that Perrin actually said according to all their intel Oubre is a really hard worker. If Quin and the coaching staff think they can work with him, I'm all in on him as well... There are very few prospects in our range that I'd be disappointed for us to draft.

Some guy on twitter said he was rude now that means he is rude cuz some guy on twitter said so.

Oh, yah... I don't buy such info too much. If there were tons of reports about it, maybe there'd be something to it. But right now, I have reservations about Kaminsky for reasons having nothing to do with his off-court behavior.

For real, strong source.

Translation: "Frank walked into Wandos with two women. He just wanted to get some food without being bothered and didn't want to take selfies with everybody. Also he left them there and walked out by himself apparently and I'm jealous that he is famous and going to make millions of dollars."
