Following potential 2015 draftees

In the second round, a player who has me intrigued is the guy DX has the Jazz taking at 54, Vince Hunter. Can't shoot, but is a beast on the glass, a great athlete, nice length, excellent motor and had a PER of 26 this past season. Actually reminds me a lot of Aaron Gordon, though he's not quite as long and of course he's older at draft time.

It should be interesting to track over Stanley's career and the 82 game schedule if that extra weight has any effect on his joints. generally you can absorb as much as ya can push out - but there's just a so many reps in the NBA.

Look at what happened to Jabari last year, one misstep, and kaboom.

Dude is built like a truck... Jabari is doughboy... big difference. Lebron carries a lot of extra weight (muscle) and he's been pretty healthy.

Not saying Stanley is a Lebron caliber athlete, but he has the same kind of old man lebron driving style... straight bully ball.

I think Johnson will be a better pro than college player. He can switch on 4 positions and has enough perimeter skills to beat 4s and can go through a lot of 3s. He is a good enough shooter and will do better on offense in the NBA because of improved spacing.

Lacks actual skills, doesn't really know how to play. Decent in the late 2nd, but no earlier. I'd prefer Larry Nance.

If RJ Hunter drops to like 28 or something, that is a dude I would get an extra 1st round pick to draft. Really the only player I foresee possibly dropping and being a good pickup for us.

Chad Ford's 'Grade A' Mock for Jazz...

Man the part about Looney makes me want him now. This draft is crazy. Never been a draft where there were so many players at the Jazz spot that I like so much

Players I would be happy with no particular order

Oubre
Turner
Dekker
Hunter
Looney
Lyles
Payne

Guys I wouldn't hate

Kaminsky
Booker
Portis
Johnson

That's 11 players I'm looking at for the twelfth pick I'm guessing 8 or 9 will be available still. That is just insane. I'm really excited for this draft. This more then most past drafts.

So many guys I like I missed one, Hunter

Hood wouldn't have achieved his late season success without minutes. How are we going to get our 2nd first round picks the minutes necessary to be a high level contributor to a winning team on very limited minutes?

We don't. We take a gamble on a guy and send him to Idaho. We hope he takes the opportunity to get better the same way Gobert did. If the guy still can't quite crack our rotation he could still become a good trade asset.

Start naming all the guys at 6'6" 245 lbs or heavier who have been successful in the NBA.

If the Jazz were to take Robert Upshaw, wherever in the draft. After a lengthy diatribe do yall think on TV they'd say "Could be a good landing spot"

I just figure there's a bunch of young players who've been living the NBA life for years, and he might just try his best to fall in line. For all the bad things said about him, he plays with a chip on his shoulder there's no denying that, and there's no denying his overall presence defensively.

Why wouldnt the Jazz still be looking for value and upside, and developmental projects? Upshaw's the type of player who could have a monster SL and ride the wave into the season. Centers make great bargains on rookie deals if you can find the right ones..

I've been praying for Stanley, but there is no God.

My gut tells me we're drafting Looney.
I hope your gut is wrong
