What's new

Trey Lyles being held out of practice/Summer League for now

The better question is, why would Rodney Hood even need to play in Summer League to begin with?

Because he just had 3 good months last year. SL is good to get confidence going for these young guys and get them off to a good start. He gets to test out things he has been working on for the last month.

Did Hood really hurt his shoulder? Any idea how serious it is? I really like his game but seems like he cant stay healthy

Bring Hayward, Favors, and Gobert into summer league too if that's the point of it, lol.

I'll take a guess on a potential deal. I'll guess the Knicks were willing to trade Porzingis for a veteran big, Trey Lyles and future picks. Trevor Booker and Trey Burke would be possible throw-ins to help clear cap space. The fact the Knicks lost out on Greg Monroe would bring the deal back to life potentially, but now that the Knicks got Lopez, there's less motivation to move Porzingis. The Knicks might also have had Hibbert on their short list of targets.

Hayward, Favors, and Gobert are proven. Hood isn't. He missed about 1/3rd of the season, played pretty poorly for 1/3rd, then played well to end it. He needs still needs to prove he can be the best player when he should be.

Close. Not bad.

I am letting things settle overnight. I will explain tomorrow or Dalamon/Cy can explain whenever.

Just read all my post lol. It was basically what PKM told me, but I just changed stuff since the information he gave was out of date considering the Knicks signed Lopez.

So something with Porz to Indiana, Hibbert to NY, Lyles to NY, George to UT, probably hood or exum to Indiana and future picks in some combination to Indiana and NY.

The Knicks just signed Kyle O'Quinn... I guess that makes it even less likely...

Blockbuster trade ruined!

Honestly don't like that deal for Utah. Huge risk that PG is never the player he was before that injury. I'd much rather have seen the Jazz get Porzingis and Hill, NY gets Lyles/Hibbert and Indy gets Burke, Booker and a bunch of draft picks from both teams. That's the deal the Jazz should be looking for.

Haha that was rumored before DL said what he said.

"Yall are trippin, mang." Young Dolph.

Like I said, I didn't hear all the deets, but a UK source (good one) told me Lyles was being 'held out' in a possible deal that would have him, Burke, and unprotected firsts (not sure if that was one or multiple) heading to Pacers, PG to Jazz, Melo to Indiana, and Hibbert + multiple picks going to Knicks.

I have asked more questions but my guy won't say anything else (I think he was drinking and loose-lipped draft night).

From PKM

That was before NYC got Lopez though.

So I theorized that LAC got into the mix because they lost Jordan, hence my 4-team proposed trade earlier.

PKM added in a different message that Pacers really want Melo.

^ That seems like a home run for us. If Exum or Hood aren't involved there is no way we don't take that.
