Trey Lyles Highlights from Last Night #1

Love the shooting form, and the balance he has off the dribble for a 6'10 guy.

The tools are all there, the physical attributes, the basketball IQ, he can only get better IMO.

Shoots that shot off balance a lot. Is that normal for him? If so he'll have a very hard time making that shot in a real NBA game.

I disagree. He floated on a lotof those shots. Didn't square up very well. They still went in, I'll give him that. Hopefully they can fix his form.

Really? Look at the 1st shot, seems like he has a pretty nice form to me. Definitely a lot to work off of.

And basically no boards. From our star stretch 4?

And I like how he takes contact and still finish also.

A 6'10 Forward with a smooth stroke, who can dribble, pass, make plays, and finish with contact?????

Are you kidding me????

His best move of the night was the traveling call drive. I'm not sure what constitutes traveling in the NBA these days, but I see that play not called 95% of the time in real games

I like what I saw as well. Not a rim protector or monster rebounder but he still looks thin. In a few years he could be very good.

Posted this in the Game Thread but thought it might be relevant here:

Reporter: "Did you get lost out there at all with limited practice?"

Lyles: "Not at all, I picked the plays up pretty quick".

That's some nice confidence from the young man. Tells me he has basketball IQ galore picks up things pretty quickly.

PKM - can you confirm? Or is he simply pulling our legs?

well the Jazz said he had the best balance through workouts of any player that they brought in for workouts.
