What's new

***Jazz vs Sixers tonight @7!*** Lyles to Debut!

Nice! So mainly just increase the presence of current and past Jazz people.
Well Eaton, big dogg, memo, Sloan, boone, and phil johnson were all there
Plus neto, millsap, ingles, burks, favors, booker, rudy, dante, and Rodney
So really, it was pretty much perfect

Did not know Eaton was there.

I'd try to get Stockton, Malone, Hayward, Burke, Pleiss, Thurl Bailey, Harpring, AK, Layden

I mean just go nuts with the personell.

Also I'd try to get more teams involved and their players and icons.

For example:
Spurs - Robinson
Heat - Bosh, Wade
Celtics - Oscar
Knicks - Ewing
Rockets - Olajowan, Harden, Howard, Drexler
Hornets - Big Al
Hawks - Millsap, Korver

Now alot of them won't come but let's say that a few do come and now you have Wade, Millsap, Ewing and Big Al (for example) mixing in the crowd as well. Plus the draw of additional games maybe only 1-2 days worth more...

Basically where I disagree with the article just linked is that they want it to compliment Vegas SL...why? You already have them crushed in fan support and reaction. Plus that is NBA and not run by a team. So the Jazz can corner a market here and make themselves look really good and make some money in the process.

His wife just delivered their first child a month or two ago, you idiot. Hayward is, without question, the leader of this team and our go-to guy. He has All-Star potential and will lead us to greatness. Because he's not with a bunch of the guys at Summer League means nothing.

Lol, I'm so over all the letting Hayward get away with everything, his duty was to be there and show support and respect to the young guns, same goes with Trey.

They definitely need more teams in the league

I wouldn't say it's any of the players duty to be there....... It's really cool when they do come and makes me like them a little more but it's not their duty. I would like to see Hayward there but it's not a big deal that he wasn't. Imo

The fan support was just for Jazz games.

Vegas will create better crowds for the other teams with big name rookie draws or big markets like the Lakers.

You'd like to see Hayward duty?

You'd like to see Hayward duty?
On your chest.

One of my dreams.

Were you at the game last night? I was certain I saw you on the jumbo tron holding a little girl (Maybe 5 years old)

The fan support was just for Jazz games.

Vegas will create better crowds for the other teams with big name rookie draws or big markets like the Lakers.

And if you have more Jazz players/legends and other players/legends available that will help bring in more people for the non Jazz games.

If the actual team is present along with players/legends like Ewing. Bosh, Matthews, Millsap and Drexler that is in itself a draw. Crowds will always spike during Jazz games but I think the Jazz could have something awesome here.

I'd try to exapnd it for 2-3 years and see what happens. If it doesn't work then you can always go back to this format of 4 teams and let it ride.

Don't know if it was mentioned, but my favorite part was when the crowd started to get way loud, Okafur and another guy had the biggest shoulder shrug wtf moment.

They already know what to expect when they come to Utah. Also Jazz players made some comments that show they were pleasantly surprised by it too.

I hope the all appreciated it. That cheering was for them. A small taste of the ESA.

Yeah why would Hayward wanna be with his teammates watching mere SL games, that kid just gets on my nerves, who does he think he is our team superstar?

Far from proven.

Far from proven? Dude put up 20/5/4...how many players do that in the league? What more do you expect or want?

100% sure that's not in his contract.

Also, how many teams star players are at the SL games? Bron isn't. Tim Duncan isn't. Wade isn't. Etc.

After last year, why are we doubting that he's putting in the work? He came back bigger, and much improved. He's certainly not perfect, but he is our best player.

Not to mention that more team members have been in the ESA and practice facilities in June than at any time in jazz history according to Locke.

So to those of you complaining, this team is showing clear signs of possibly being the most dedicated and connected Jazz team ever. Let that sink in.

I guess I just don't get the stardom status and the 'entitlements' that come with it... Trey, OK he might have had that kid summer camp scheduled a while back but Hayward, come on guys, anything seems to be justified.
He could ask you to be his slaves and it seems like some of you would be down on your knees in a matter of seconds. He just has a knack of putting more pressure on himself is all I'm saying. 'I'm the star, why do I have to go to that 2nd class SL crap.' It doesn't rub off well on me personally. I expect nothing less from someone with his views than making the All Star game, something that is yet to happen. A very good player is one thing, a superstar is another. End of rant.

That is the thing, there is nothing to justify. It is the offseason. As lo9ng as he reports to camp on time in great shape we are good.

Your argument dies in the fact that he has been to previous SLs and isn't at this one because of a newborn.

Some of you could be drowining and he would try to pull you out but you wouldn't take his hand.
