Right now, the mountain logo is primary, but the Jazz (like most people), are not fans. They want to change that.

One problem: current Jazz note wordmark doesn't have "Utah" anywhere in it. NBA requires full team name in primary logo.


I'm cool with this. I'm not really a fan of the mountain primary logo

It's kinda ridiculous to have BOTH the mountain and the music note logo going at the same time. We're probably the only team to have x2 separate & completely different logos going ATM.



This decision has been a long time coming IMO, should have made the change ages ago.
 
I think the new logo should be "no fat chicks".

But most of them are consistent, no? With the Jazz the only thing tying the two logos are the moment are the colours. The fonts are different, the theme is different, etc.

The inconsistency was fairly common until the last few years, when teams have paid the $500k fee (is this right?) to change primary logos. Atlanta was the other holdover until this offseason. So you're right, the Jazz are the last team to have a placeholder primary that doesn't fit the rest of their brand.
