I feel bad for Ty. This team is not very good. Even at full strength, they're still an inconsistent bunch with no depth and even worse three point threat.
Sloan was great a maximizing effort and that certainly isn't an attribute most NBA coaches share. So even if Ty is a good coach, and I see no reason to believe he isn't, it's entirely possible this team stumbles badly these next few weeks and falls out of playoff contention.
If that happens, he's in a no-win situation. He's always going to be compared to Sloan and anything less than what Sloan did here will be seen as an utter failure - even if he doesn't have the horses and most every other coach would have lost this game tonight.
Phoenix is a good team and they're playing solid basketball, but this game didn't even feel close in the second half. We got dominated in the final two quarters.
Very disappointing loss. I thought we for sure would win this one with all the emotion. Now it could get ugly(ier).
