Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

I may not breathe easy, but I'll sure as hell enjoy watching him dominate while I hold my breath. Kinda sucks that he's playing for fear of injury and or fatigue, but as a basketball fan and Rudy worshiper in the summer, it's awesome.
Better said than what I posted. Yes, we all like to get our basketball fixes during the summer. And it certainly is an honor to play for a national team. But when we had that Rudy scare earlier, my heart just sank.

one thing I like about Pleiss is that he isn't as spastic on offense as Kanter is. Screens, screens again, if both are denied then he tries sealing his man in the post & calls for the ball. Nothing flashy or fancy-- but basically what he needs to do for Utah when he comes over.

His help-defense will be much more important to this squad than his post-defense. That's the big if-- can Snyder put him in a position to be a plus defender? Or do we have another Kanter on our hands?

I honestly don't see how anybody under the age of 60 at 7'3" can be a worse defender than Kanter. It is almost like he isn't even playing basketball on one end of the court. Fortunately most NBA bench centers are schlubs, and I don't see the Jazz needing to leave him on an island too often. He may need some time to be coached properly which is why we brought in the other guy as insurance for the early season. If we need defensive stops, we don't need a bench big out there.

I will say that I hope the French coach will not overplay Rudy now that the backup center is gone. Hopefully France will just go smaller part of the game with Lovergne at center.

Rudy will just need to exert his will and force the other team to submit and quit a few minutes into the second half. That will reduce his minutes.

In Group play, France should definitely dominate everyone. They stayed out of the group of death. Poland and Finland might keep it close for a while, but no reason France drops a game in Group A.

So what time is the France/Germany game?

I am seeing 11:15 MT. Not seeing the streams yet, but they should pop up soon. It is on Canal Sport in France. First game post Ajinca. Will France survive?

Also tomorrow if you want to see an early glimpse of Michigan State they play Russia at 9:45 MT. Maybe now that AK47 is head of the Russian federation he will don a jersey for them.

Also of interest Greece vs Turkey at 12:15 MT. Koufos is playing for Greece. Turkey with an impressive win over Lithuania today.

I am sure lots of games will be blow out for france which means gobert won't play a lot. he pro will play alot when they enter the tournament tho...

Not sure how they determine who goes in what group. I believe it is just a draw, but they really should do a better job evening them out. FIBA does some strange things though. Argentina is still 3rd and Russia is 6th in their world rankings and Korea is ranked ahead of Italy.

Rudy vs Tibor(France vs Germany) tomorrow, 11:15 am MDT:

Eurobasket in a few days. This is not an ordinary friendly. German bench players stink so France starts to pull away. The games are getting more intense.

Friendlies are still friendlies. Teams aren't going 100%. I was listening to a podcast yesterday that said the friendlies are laughable compared to the actual tournament in terms of competitiveness.

Rudy stuffs Dirk then scores a nice bucket on the other end. Germany cant score to save their lives right now.
