We all know who Burke is, and based on that first preseason game, it doesn't look like he's changed much. There was no doubt that Neto excelled in the areas that the Jazz are looking for, from the point guard position -- defense and distribution. We've got other guards who can score.

I think the Jazz need to get what they can for Burke, keep two PGs, and use Alex as the third. He surely will be a better option than Trey whose major role is scoring at which Alex is superior.

This way the Jazz can keep both Withey and Chris Johnson. I really think they should keep Johnson. He is an NBA player who can put points on the board and play both ends.

I honestly think "what they can get" for Burke is not much.

Burke will probably go into this season as the 30th (maybe 29th if I'm forgetting somebody) ranked starting PG in the league and markedly worse than a fair number of back-ups. We might struggle to get a high second rounder for him.

Dude, Exum averaged 4 ppg and shot 34% FGs and it worked okay. It shouldn't be much of a stretch to think Neto can duplicate or at least come pretty close to those numbers.

If you watched the first quarter of the game he was good... moved the ball, got out on the break, and defended fine. Neto did some great things, but let's just chill a second.

Burke can still improve. He may never be great, but why give up on him now... for a second round pick? Hold on to him and see what we have Conley, Teague, and others have been bad their first two years then improved. Burke looked faster than last year... if he can exercise the same discipline he had in the first quarter of the last game he will be decent.

He had a wide open three that looked like it was going down... if that shot goes he would have had 13 pts. on 4 of 9 shooting. Also missed a layup that he got pushed on from behind (those refs were rough the other night). He took good shots... only one quick one. Watch the game without confirmation bias and you can see there may be some improvement.

This is the main reason I would take Neto in the starting line up, even if he does struggle to score. Even if he does go at 35 percent, he will be taking the right amount of shots for his ability, while hopefully adding scoring opportunities for the right people.

It's not like Kanter at all.... we don't have the PG equivalent of Rudy Gobert waiting in the wings to take over. Getting rid of Kanter and adding more time for Rudy was what make us better. Withey is our 3rd center or 6th big... don't think you trade a guy based on keeping him around.

Also, Burke had a bad second half... had some turnovers and missed some shots. It's a smaaaallll sample size. Neto committed two turnovers and is shooting 0% from the field based on the same sample size.

I like Neto, but we still need Burke. If we had Exum healthy, plus Neto, and a good offer came along then you move Burke.

Yes, I did not see him lead 4 fast breaks, one for sure. What I am talking about is not when there is a clear open fast break but the ones where the d is partially back but if you push it you can get something easier than a set offense. TB never does that. Not sure that he can. If YOU think he is not slow for his position, then you maybe are not watching.

I'd rather Neto, i hate that Burke takes as many shots as our best player. His instincts and timing leading fast breaks are dreadful for a PG too ..
