Stupid Pet Peeves

Never knowing what to say when people pass me in the hallway and say "How's it going?" Are they really inquiring about my health and well-being? Or is that just a four syllable way of saying "Hi"?

It's a way of saying hi imo

Sometimes it is, certainly. But is it always? And if only sometimes, how do I judge? That's my pet peeve.

Simple solution. Always have your cell phone out and pretend to be talking to someone as you're walking. That way, no one will expect a reply, so there's no guessing.

I do that when walking through the mall so I don't have to respond to the people running the keosks and the cell phone companies

I hate those people. Can't they find something else to do for a living? Crazy. Who takes those jobs?

They are literally standing there fishing for the 1% of people who don't already have a phone and aren't locked into a contract.

Ya I never bought anything from any of them and never will

I HATED Costco the first five times or so I went. Now I get it.
I go there for electronics, meats (steaks), and select items from deli when entertaining.
Costco and Sam's Club are awesome. We have memberships to both. But I will NEVER go to Costco on a Saturday afternoon again. I'd rather castrate myself with a dull spoon than go through that again.

Electric car charging stations that take up normal parking spots in the very front of busy places. I park in them every time I see one, hoping some Nissian Leaf owner is waiting around for me to pop out of the place so he can give me an ear full.

You are probably the fat person who parks in marked handicap spots too.

And yet I bet no Nissan Leaf owner has ever turned up.

Do yall not have butcher shops in SLC?

Not really.

Butcher shops here are inside super markets.

When someone needs help they pull the pimple faced kid off bagging duty and have him grab you your cuts of meat.

There have been several times I go up to the meat case and ask for something and they irritatedly point me towards the pre-packaged meat on the shelves. Then I have to tell them I saw their 1/2" thick steaks, I want 1 1/2" thick steaks. There are times when they can't do that for me.

There has to be at least one butcher in SLC, it's impossible that there isn't. There are butchers in towns of 10,000 people.

And yes, through a simple google search, there are plenty of butcher/meat shops in SLC.

Yep, the thickness of the steak is one of the main reasons I use Costco for steaks. Price is also good, of course. But grocery store steaks are ridiculously thin.
