It Might Be Time to Go Dumpster Diving

Tyler looks good on offense, can he play any defense? I', surprised he cant stick on a roster. The guy can finish with extreme power, is fluid, and has a jumper.

Going to assume it's because he sucks and can't actually do any of the things you said on a consistent basis at teh NBA level.

Holmes and Upshaw were waived. Is it worth taking a flyer on one of them?

Also the Clippers are still to make a their final cut and Branden Dawson might be one of the players getting cut. I think I'd sacrifice Chris Johnson for him.

My favorite story from these roster cuts is, it seems Luis Montero will make the Trailblazers 15-man squad. For those totally unfamiliar with his story, he's certainly taken a unique route to the league. Last played for Weschester Community College in 2013-2014, a college that was probed by New York State, was found to be forging transcripts, and so they cancelled their 2014-2015 season. Montero was set to transfer to USF, but his credits were probably falsified, and he was stuck, but had some 2nd round draft hype.

Also when Montero first showed up in the US, at 19, he was pretending to be much younger... From the DR.

Based on basketball alone, Upshaw's worth taking a flier on.. Holmes is kinda redundant with Lyles.. C's take the longest to develop and Upshaw's clearly got plenty of upside.. I know he lost 20lbs for the Lakers, and their hoping he clears waivers to stash him in the d-league..

They've said he needs plenty of work on offense and defense to see the floor... He's certainly a better project than Robert Sacre though.. I think he might be a better project than Pleiss, surely on a risk/reward basis.

Upshaw is very much better than Sacre, off-court stuff is the reason he got cut. He's always had issues, I think he got kicked of Fresno State teams and Washington teams at the college level.

I hear that Carlos Boozer guy has a decent high post game and could give Lyles son tips on nba defense at the power forward.

Bo Mcalleb was waived. He was big time in Europe but is up there in age now, but may be worth a look. PG position is the actual position where we could use some help.

He was waived from a team that needs more PG help than we do.

Perry Jones III is interesting. Denver waived Nick Johnson and Kostas Papanikolaou too.

Chuck Hayes and Samuel Dalembert if you want vets

Why did Bo only play in 5 games last year? Shot 35% from 2.....which would probably tell us his legs are done if the sample size were bigger. That's down from his normal 55-65 range. He definitely was a NBA player when he was flying all over the place, attacking the rim at one point. Probably around the time the Turkish posters on here were obsessed with him.

Well I just mentioned him, but not sure he is at the level he used to be. I remember him playing for Macedonia and he was great. He has hit the big 30 now, but I would definitely look at him.

I'm sorry, I've been pretty lazy when reading the forum(caught myself repeating other people the other day too).

I'm not sure he's good right now. Nate Robinson was chosen ahead of him. How good can he really be if that's the case? I guess that ship has sailed. He should have come back to the NBA several years ago when he was killing it in Europe.
