**OFFICIAL** Game Thread: Nov 5 - Jazz @ Nuggets - 7 PM MST

The most important thing I take from this game is that you can tell how something clicked those last 8 minutes. They stayed in a road game for the most part and delivered a final killing blow.

When Gallo was off the floor we were running a Hood/Booker pick and roll over and over. We got great shots out of it. The few times we missed Booker got the offensive rebound.

That and we locked in defensively.

That Hood/Booker PNR is what EVERYONE has been calling for! Seriously, though, kudos to Quinn for pulling that out of his behind. . .

While Booker may not have been the best player in the game, he really put the game away for the Jazz tonight IMO and just sucked the will out of the Nuggets.

There was one play in particular with 8 minutes left in the 4th, where he pretty much ran from the top of the key to get an offensive board and put it back in. The whole Jazz bench jumped up and applauded, because I believe he's pretty beloved by his teammates. That sort of stuff can't be quantified in terms of its importance.

No doubt. Trey Burke's steal which led to a clear path, and his three-pointer which extended Jazz lead to 4 were also a lot bigger than what they'd appear on the box score. Booker has been pretty meh early on, but tonight he did exactly what I'd love to see every game.

I could only keep one eye on the second quarter so I feel like I missed out on all the fun. But **** it, win is a win.

We have yet to see this team with Hayward and Favors both playing well. Assuming Hayward has finally found his stride, once Favors recovers from his illness, we should be good to go. We'll need to be able to count on both of them to produce offensively in order to stand up to the legit teams we're about to face.

I didn't realize how much we'd miss Exum but Burke and Neto just aren't cutting it... they're just not playoff calibre PGs...

Here are some tasty comments from the 4th quarter from the Nuggets message Board:

We are scared ****less of Gobert.

a snuff film

Best +/- goes to Mike Miller +2 with 2min of playing time.... wtf

Whelp .. that went south waaaaaaay fast

Most important thing i've taken early on, is that when we are **** we can grind and stop the other team from absolutely running away, and when we are firing, we can put teams away quickly (/bad teams).

The Burks hate around here is crazy to me. We have one ****ing player on this team that puts serious pressure on the defense, and we want to get rid of him why? I get he's not a terribly en vogue type of player, but he's damn good and he's on a nice contract.

He played point tonight if I'm not mistaken, based on minutes allocation. Either way, he did the job and still think he's capable as a ballhandler.

It's worth noting that the only other team that has played 4 road games up to this point is San Antonio--they're 2-2 on the road, we're 3-1. Our victories haven't been against good teams, but victories on the road are still note worthy. I feel like the Williams/Boozer teams would lose to ****ty teams like Denver and Indy all the time on the road. The key to winning on the road is good defense (so you can disrupt the opposition's offense, and by doing so, take the crowd out of the game). I'm so glad we finally have a good defensive team, even if the offense looks completely dead at times.
