What's new

Game #15 New Orleans Pelicans @ Utah Jazz -- Sat. Nov. 28th @ 7pm MST

Not only is he good at finishing, but there is nothing simple about some of his baskets.
He definitely brings a unique skillset to the wing position.

I really like how all of our wings can play multiple positions and each have special skills

Hayward can play the 2,3,4 and even a little point maybe. Plays great D, passes well, gets to the line, has that step back J, and takes allot of threes

Hood can play the 2, or 3, has really good handles and is great at exploiting the mid-range game, can stop on a dime and pull up for a jumper at anytime with great elevation on his jumper, pretty good at getting to the rim, even has a decent hook shot.

Burks can play the 1,2, or 3, is playing great in the 4th quarters, gets to the line and shoots a very good percentage, is great on the fast break, gets into the paint with ease, is becoming a good passer, and is a good rebounder. I even noticed this game that he was directing the offense vocally and with hand signals allot. Signs of him becoming a leader and a player quin trusts

Hayward post up game is coming along too and will get better.
Just more versatility in our wings

It needs to be said again. Asik sucks. (Just missed an easy two hand dunk lol)

Damn Rudy got up high on his and one dunk on Davis

Two buckets and a steal early in the third quarter for neto.

Also something that doesn't get talked about much with Hood is his ability to get a comfortable shot in any situation. No matter the situation double teamed no problem shot clock, or game clock winding down, no problem.

I will say though. At times these wings can be our achilles' heel on offense. They need to be better at involving favors more, and they sometimes bog down the offense and cause long droughts because they make the team lose their offensive rhythm and flow. This happened with a 20 point lead yesterday. At one point we went so long with no buckets that the lead at one point dwindled to 4-6 points.

But they are still young and improving. The future is bright with these three.

Hayward just passed up a three that was about as wide open as you can get. He passed out to neto at the three point line who was also wide open. Neto passed up the three as well and instead threw up a super high floater that missed

Good post. Agree with all of that

Nice block by rudy. Blocked Davis three point attempt.

I think that's why we are 8-7 and not 10-5 or 11-4. This does give me encouragement for the next few years as this team grows together they will find more offensive consistency.

Great pass by Burks.
He went baseline and when the defense collapsed found Booker cutting to the rim for the and one

Good Lord
Just saw the Booker to alec around the back to Rudy reverse layup sequence.

Wow

Deserved a salute tbh

Lol just keeps adding up, but another thing I like about Burks is, even though he had a somewhat quiet first half, and like all good men... U can't keep him down all game. He is so relentless. A few of his good games have come this way. Have also noticed he's looking more and more like a true sg as he's adding more variety to the way he can beat u.

1. Improved court vision
2. Taking more threes and hitting with consistency
3. Improved midrange game.

Burks dominated the third quarter. Big rebounds, great passing, getting layups, hitting mid range jumpers and even playing some good defense

Also. Rudy is on fire from the ft line as of late. At one point it was mentioned during the game that he was 15 for his last 20 or something like that.

Did u see the Rudy power dunk over Davis yet? My favorite play of the game as Rudy sometimes has a hard time finishing in traffic.

Ya that was sweet. He got up really high on that dunk. Davis feeble attempt to block the dunk only got up to Rudys lower forearm

Booker with the steal and dunk. Jazz up 21 in the 4th.
I'm shocked that it got to within 6. Going to be interesting to see how that happened

Also noticed Burke reverting to the old crappy Burk, taking ill advised shots and one really bad sequence where he dribbled in and out of traffic for no damn reason till he lost the ball. I was like wtf!!
