Do I know these are going to be the starting line-ups? No. Do I know that Derrick is returning? No. Do I give a **** if I'm wrong? Of course ****ing not.

So I'm calling it now. Derrick returns and we win a great game 99-97. Letsgooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

A quick Internet search and so far all I've found is a few places citing this same report "Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Favors was able to participate in shootaround, which bodes well for his chances to play. It will likely depend on how he is feeling closer to game time. The Jazz big man has not played since Dec. 23. Expect an update on his status prior to tip-off."

Also just found out that I might be going to my 4th straight home game tonight, which I know for most isn't a big deal but for me it will be a new personal high in going to consecutive games.

Jazz will really need Favors to even have a shot at this game, hopefully he is able to go. I also would expect his minutes to be a little limited if he does, just going off of Jazz history and players coming back from an injury.
 
Hope you're right about Favors. It would be nice to see more than one of the top 3 players on this team playing at one time.
 
Twitter says that Favors in on the court right now to see if he can play tonight.

In the previous four games now, we were all led to believe Favors might play, but then at the last second they decided not to play him.

This makes me think he had no chance of playing in those previous three games (at least) to begin with, and the Jazz decided to keep that information secret.

Well they just announced that Favors will NOT play. Confirmed on a half dozen twitters (Jazz, Locke, Gennesy, Jones...)

This has to be more than back spasms. What the hell!

This makes me very unexcited about the game. :(
 
Very frustrating. Favors was playing like an allstar to start the season.

Hopefully this is something that will get better and stay better. I want that guy to have a long NBA career, hopefully in Utah the entire time.
