What's new

GT: Kings @ Jazz. 7 MST.

This team really needs Favors and Gobert to win. Its easy to pull one of the rim protectors away from the rim but when you have two our defense is so much better. Also we have 0 inside offensive presence without Favors.

Jazz need Hayward, Favors and Gobert to win with any consistency. To be a 5 seed or better we need a fully healthy team.

moral-victories-people please say something about this game to make me stop drinking

I have nothing. They should have won this game, but credit to the Kings for not playing like a Jr High team in the 1st quarter.

This is like the 4th game or so I can remember (and god knows there are probably more) where the Jazz outplayed a team in 3 quarters, but it didn't matter because they got dominated in one of them.

A higher draft pick seems more valuable to me than 4 extra games against the Warriors. And this year it would be significantly higher, given that we are in the West.

I disagree, we need to make the playoffs or we're in trouble. This core needs to start tasting a bit of glory.

I'm sure Pelicans fans thought the same thing last year. You don't level up from making the playoffs and getting swept by the Warriors.

You don't lvl up by getting 12th-14th pick year after year either. What do you suggest, blowing it all up? We're coming at a crossroads here, I'm not sure you understand.

It should mean a lot to this team, think of the psychological effect coming into the next season. Not the end result in this one.
Oh yeah, that psychological effect is really helping out the Pelicans this year isn't it.

Why do you keep implying getting your *** swept in the first round by the Warriors levels you up?

at this rate it might not be up to us to make it to the playoff, this is going to be a dogfight for that lousy 8th seed.

(8) Utah Jazz 17-21
(9) Portland Trail Blazers 17-24 (-1.5 game back)
(10)Sacramento Kings 15-23 (-2.0 game back)

I just want to say, I think the "playoff experience" thing is just not true if you are a mediocre team squeaking in and promptly swept. 8th seed in West last year --- New Orleans. How did all that "playoff experience" go for them this year? What about Milwaukee Bucks, a 41-41 6th seed? Terrible this year, with a young core.

Our team ain't a playoff team. Do we play any games this year where you think "I'm pretty sure we will win this game"? Well, maybe tonight (which we lost). I don't think we'll be favored in any upcoming games other than the Lakers. The team sucks, I'm not happy with it. It's mostly injuries. But i'm getting ready to throw in the towel and be zen about it.

I'm super down to make the playoffs, but as a team that earns it. As a 39 win 8th seed that only makes it because we were only slightly less bad than the Kings and Blazers were? No thanks. I'll take a 10th overall pick in that case. ****ing frustrated.
