Trade Gordo + Trey for the #3?

Gordo is an UFA this next off season and the Celtics have already tried to get him in the past. Would anyone be up to trading these 2 for the #3 pick? I highly doubt Gord resigns with the Jazz even at max money so why not stop the streak of letting all of our players go and actually get something out of it?

So just to clarify you want to trade Hayward and Burke for #3 who is likely to be Dragan Bender or another project? That doesn't compute. Why would we trade our best wing for a project? Why would Rudy and everyone else play along for another rebuild?

If we are going to trade Hayward it needs to be for another wing. But our best chance to be good would be to resign Hayward. If we can make the playoffs this year, then we can prove to Hayward we are on our way to being a contender.

I'm not sure who I would even take with the third pick. Maybe Murray.

It totally depends on whether the FO thinks he's going to stay.

Maybe in 20 years we'll make the ****ing playoffs?

I'm not down.

We can't think in terms of the short term. If the FO thinks Hayward is going to leave, then they'd be moronic not to trade him just so we can make the playoffs next year.

I'm sure we wouldn't do a trade for this in particular but I DO see the Jazz shipping him out before the trade deadline if we haven't made significant progress this next season.

I'm afraid we need to be looking to BOS for a trade. I think Hayward end up there one way or the other.

Exactly. This coming year should have been our previous year to see our progress. Unfortunately, injuries plagued it so now this season is really all or nothing. We either show significant progression to entice Gordo to stay or we have to ship him out to get ANYTHING for him.

I would for #2.
I'd think about #3.

Probably lean toward no.

I proposed #12 and Hayward for #2 and Young(Lakers want to get rid off him). Some Lakers fans seem intrigued. I wouldn't do it for no. 3 pick, tho.

I would and don't need to think about it.
There's a strong chance philly takes Ingram.

Ingram or Simmons - I'd be happy with either.

But how to get #2? ...Heyward + #12, I'm fine with that. But would LA do it? Too bad Boston didn't land a top 2 pick.
