Following 2016 potential draftees

Have you researched that? Can you give actual names and stats?

Not saying I don't believe you to be correct just curious.
Hawks, Heat, Grizzlies, Mavs, probably a few others that I can't think of off the top. You really think all 16 playoff teams have 20 ppg scorers? I'm not even positive there are 16 players who average 20 ( and I know a lot of the ones that are are on the same team).

Fish wants a lineup of

Burks
Burks
Burks
Burks
Burks - Bring back Fes to backup center
Actually I think we should trade him and anyone else on the team to try to get a true star max player. Always have felt that way.

He has value sure. But if we offered him for a top draft pick the other team might say no and would definitely have to think about it.

Other max guys would guarantee that the team with the #1 pick would do the trade.

Not all max contract players have equal value imo

Oh I'm with you there guy. I just think it was funny when people were thinking his contract would be immovable and no way we should match it. I can guarantee we could get the #3 pick with it (an obvious fake guarantee... no such guarantee exists... and I have no power to guarantee any of my BS).

Now we could get something really valuable for the guy but people still say he's not worth the max? He's worth every penny of his current max under this cap. I think he will be worth close to his megamax contract he signs next year. I also recognize he's not providing the value that he max guys like Lebron, Durant, etc. provide. Not all max contracts are equal... I get it.

Nah, that is what Burks level players are for. You don't trade Hayward for a 3rd tier draft prospect.

Burks too. I think the jazz should always being trying to get a player better than anyone on the team currently.

There are many players currently in the nba that I want more than anyone on the jazz right now and there will likely be a few players in this draft that will be better than anyone on the jazz right now.
Imo its a good idea to try to get elite players.

I was just messing with you... I still believe in Burks and actually think we should retain him. If he gets back healthy the contract looks like gold and we can trade him in for something more valuable than we get now.

So trading Hayward for a 3rd tier draft prospect who is an undersized 2 guard is us getting better?

Lmao

That Hayward hate is coming out strong. Pretty soon we going to have Burks>Hayward post.

Why are you being such an *** today?
I said in my post that Thomas might not be the better player. But it is fact, not opinon, that Thomas has more accolades than hayward, is much much cheaper, and has better box score numbers..... Better on paper.
And it's not like he is surrounded by all star teammates either.

Try to be a little fair and objective and get g-times balls off your chin for a second.

Also if you look at stats, all star appearances, playoff appearances then Thomas would come out ahead of Hayward.

I think Thomas is making like 6 million per year btw.

Not saying Thomas is the better player but actually on paper he kind of is

His contract is valuable, but on court I think you have to plan ways to hide him and he doesn't always work in every situation. I think guys like him can put a ceiling on how good your team is unless he's willing to take a step back and become a great sixth man. He controls the ball a bit much to be a #1 option on a contender.

Hayward is kind of the opposite... you can do a lot of things for other guys because he's on your roster. They are both probably not in an ideal role for winning. Both are playing bigger roles than they should if their teams are going to be contenders.

Does your paper also list him as being a 5'8 pg who can't guard? Cuz if it did you wouldn't be saying weightless statements like "he is better on paper"

Again, why be such an ***?
I wasnt disagreeing or doubting what you said. I was just curious who those players where and what teams?

Im still curious since you have yet to post any names or stats.

Man, I have no idea why I ever liked you before. You are unable to have a conversation without being a dick unless the other person is agreeing with you.

I shall just ignore you from here on out

Why do I have to research everything for you? I have you the teams. Do I now need to assemble a spread sheet and a PP presentation?

Lol @ all those saying the Jazz should trade Burks. He's been hurt most of the last two years and as such has no value. You'd be selling at the lowest point. He's still young. It would make much more sense to keep him around, hope he stays healthy, continues to improve from range, etc, then he either helps you or he becomes a desirable piece for another team - iow, you still high.

No one is advocating trading Burks, his value is too low. We are just giving Fish a hard time.

Should probably just ignore him. He is incapable of reacting to something he disagrees with in a non dick like way.
Totes. I just have strong opinions and don't like the herd mentality of "the grass is greener".

I agree with the Sabonis thing here. Think people are over hyping him because he had the game of his life vs Utah in the ncaa's

No, he did not just have one great game. He was great all season long and even better down the stretch. He is apparently impressing scouts big time in workouts. Ford has him up to 10 on his big board. Do I say take him at 12? Dont know depends on who else is there. I think I like him better than Poetl though. Much more versatility.

I totally agree that Hayward is a larger human being. Not sure what that has to do with what I said about Thomas having better stats, more all star appearances and leading his team to the playoffs. But yes, we can agree that Hayward is a larger human.
