What would you give up for Westbrook?

There's no way to guarantee that he'd re-sign with the Jazz, therefore, I wouldn't trade anything significant to get him. After losing Durant, I think OKC will just double down and build around Westbrook. Try to land a SF next year that can somewhat fill the hole that Durant left. They'll likely fight for the last few playoff spots for the next couple of years. If that's the case, that draft pick from Kanter could end up being a really solid asset.

This. No point in reloading OKC for a 1 year rental of a player going elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, incredible player! But guys, do you seriously think he is staying? If OKC thought he was staying, they wouldn't trade him.

I think I'd say pick two of anyone. Except Gobert and Favors (one, not both) Maybe throw in a first rounder, done.

This is how I feel too. I would throw in another first to get it done though.

They ask for Hayward and Favors and two firsts, you do it?

I say no. A pretty firm no too.

Here's a hypothetical:

If Michael Jordan in his prime were to ask your sister on a date, what players on the current team would you trade to be able to pin the corsage on his left nut?

ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!

Maybe favors and hood (or burks) and picks.

Westbrook, hill, exum
Hill, burks, exum
Hayward, jj, ingles
Lyles, diaw, jj
Gobert, withey

I think okc would want hayward to be the main piece though.

This.

If we trade for a superstar, it will revolve around Favors and Hood. Why?

The Jazz are all in on Exum, which is why I don't think they would trade for Westbrook if he was available. They believe in Exum.

They are also all in on Gobert. They feel he is a one of a kind player and won't let him go. I disagree, but don't be surprised if the Jazz have Gobert locked up before the season starts.

The Jazz will also do everything they can to keep Hayward.

Burks has zero value in the league right now. He never plays, and when he plays, statistically the Jazz are worse.

Hood has value as a good starter or great bench player. Favors still has all star potential.

If we make a big move, it will involve Favors and Hood.

And for the record, I like Favors more than Gobert. I'd try to move Gobert and Hood.

I say no. A pretty firm no too. Which is weird for me to say since I have been saying that we should do anything and everything for a star.

Exum and Hayward would be off limits for me unless I'm getting Durrant, Steph, LeBron, Davis, Towns back.

I don't really understand the question or I would answer it

Jesus dude, you are about to be EXTREMELY disappointed.

All I know is that Utah would not trade Exum for Westbrook, that is how they feel about Exum.

So, I have message board goof telling me Exum will suck and I have Jazz personnel telling me that Exum will be a star.

You keep being you though.

What the ****? Of course they would. How do you know that they wouldn't?

I'm not saying he will suck. YOU are saying that a dude who has played one year and played terribly is now a top 10 trade asset in the league which is ****ING HILARIOUS and completely stupid.

Good for you. Feel better?

Read the tea leaves if you don't believe me. Teague is a better player now and in the future than Hill. Yet, we traded for Hill.

Teague is an all star. The Jazz think Exum will be better. The Jazz think Exum might be better than Hill by the end of this year.

So...you keep on being you.

Yep because Jeff Teague and Russell Westbrook are the same player. Wow, ya got me.

Damn bro, THAT is your evidence? I think it's time for you to take your L.

Come on, KC, it's just a hypothetical exercise, be nice and play along.
Yeah and in the hypothetical he said he is willing to sign here. Players are leaving to join established teams that have an entire roster.

Just answer the question.

If we could trade for westbrook and it was guaranteed he would sign long term with the jazz then what would you give up for him.
Don't change the discussion or say what if this or that..... Just answer the question.
No, I wouldn't. He couldn't win with KD. If he wants to sign here sure though.

Like Westbrook is great, plays harder than anyone and *can* be fun to watch. What is he without KD though? When KD was injured he went full ball hog and just went for stats and barely made the 8th seed. He has aged well thus far, but his game has an expiration date.

The question was what would you give up for westbrook knowing that he signs long term with the jazz. You answered "no I wouldn't" doesn't make much sense.
Sounds like you are saying you would not give up anything for westbrook.
So are you saying you wouldn't give up pliess straight up for westbrook?

I'd give up George Hill, Burks, and some draft picks.
