2016 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

I've got my starting five and it's a dinger. CP3/Gervin/Durant/Rodman/Russell

Very solid.

Durant is not typically a motivated defender and Gervin is a phenomenal 1-way offensive player, but defensive liability. CP3/Rodman/Russell could counterbalance and make it an adequate defensive unit.

Lane might be clogged for CP3 penetration with no shooting range with Rodman/ Russell. You may want to consider adding a shooting 4 and moving Rodman to the second unit for energy/ defense.

Great start-- good luck filling out the roster!

I'm really not sure why you went with Isiah Thomas as your point guard.

You guys are forgetting the trade

I'll trade isiah for an 8th rounder if anyone's interested?

agreed, and this creates a binding contract, offered and accepted in front of witnesses.

Seriously, this is a greatly talented starting 5. And (personality conflicts aside) there are fit questions. It was always "Isiah's PG-centered Pistons" and "MJ's triangle offense Bulls" -- what is the system and what are the roles? I assume that with MJ and Pippen you'll run the triangle through MJ -- which means that Isiah hits and occasional catch/shoot a la Derek Fisher.

Not saying it can't work, it just raises questions that you'll probably want to address when selling the team down the road.

I would have zero concern that Isiah/MJ/Pippen wouldn't work, they're all winners and that's all they cared about....that wing defense would be nasty than with Mourning in the middle? This draft was finished when I traded Barkley for Pippen.

I'm much more scared of Jordan + Barkley then Jordan + Pippen. If you look at your team compared to the team Ellis had last year his team fit together way better and had better players surrounding Jordan and Pippen.

I agree to a small extent but I came into this after seeing I got the first pick to not recreate his team from last year. Ellis did a great job last year.

And your team is coming along nicely as well. I actually like Isaih Thomas as your PG with MJ. Agree though that keeping Barkley is the way I'd have gone. But each individual strategy is what makes this thing fun.

Don't love the Mourning/McHale combo, but pickings were slim at that point.

I'm not sure you could find two players less willing to play with one another than MJ/Thomas.

Russell and Nick Young maybe? Lol

LeBron and whoever it was that ****ed his mom? Lol

Michael Jordan hated everyone though. I know he didnt like Thomas, but they would have made it work on the court.

He told the people organizing the dream team that he wouldn't play if Thomas was.

Thomas also supposedly told all the players not to pass the ball to MJ during an All-Star game.

Literally the last person MJ would be willing to play with.
