Baton Rouge Police Killing a 37-year-old black man at point blank range

That's good.
But my question is where is the voice of leadership.

You mean like Lincoln? JFK? MLK?

Srsly it ain't fair to lay any of this on Obama or a lack of leadership in general. Leadership often incites violence. What kind of things could Obama have done as a leader to prevent this?

The "person of interest", carrying a rifle legally, was a brother to an organizer of the Black Lives Matter rally.

shooters were apparently of a like mind with the BLM cause, assuming no conspiracy to give the BLM a neg press, I guess.

And how exactly am I a idiot on this matter adjucating?

Because there is damning inconclusive video evidence?

Because he is black an cops are white?

Tell me, is there any actual evidence from a 30 SECOND VIDEO WITH OUT OF FFOOTAGE SIGHT filming that is damning?
Yes

Questions that are not easy to answer....
1. Why do the asians do not encounter the violent incidents with law enforcement as much as blacks? When was the last police brutality incident in a Chinatown?
2. If everybody on the police would be a black - would the police brutality against blacks end?
3. Is the police brutality against blacks in USA higher compared to other countries either in Asia or Africa? Have not heard any cases that some black person has been killed in Japan or Hong Kong. As much as i have heard, the above average countries in Africa like Zambia, Gambia, Uganda, Senegal, Kenya, Mozambique - police violence is uncommon. Or maybe not reported.
4. Race IMHO does not matter - Russia and countries in South America are great examples through the history that police and military can be ruthless also to the white persons.

The one sniper who was killed by police told the police he acted alone. The sniper was killed by a bomb, delivered by a robot.

Quick question for gun experts... in the US, can anyone with a license buy and own a long range rifle?

Pretty much, yes.

You have to pass the background check. I have multiple long range rifles myself. (Hunting rifles)

Terrible. This country needs to unite again. Everbody is looking at how we are different and finding causes to back that only divide. We need to find causes that bring us together again. More violence doesn't solve past violence. Killing innocent people doesn't make the death of others any easier. Every life matters.

Amazing to me...
Doesn't need to be this way, obvi.

Leadership isn't just Obama making speeches at the podium.

Its members of congress & senators acting on the desires of their citizens. The failure of "leadership" is when you hear things like 70% of citizens wanting public health care & no one delivering. Or when most citizens want increased gun control & no-one delivering.

Unfortunately I can't see these atrocities getting any better, and I'm betting on them getting worse.

Implement gun control.

O wait.

In hindsight this turned out to be a **** post & inaccurate, surprising no one

and in many places they can openly carry firearms

this link seems to have good information about the specific Dallas situation and US gun carry laws in general

at least I haven't (yet) heard that tired trope about the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun - sometimes it takes a robot with a bomb device...

You don't need a license of any kind. You do have to prove your identity, but you don't even need a driver's license.
