Road construction. Especially when it doesn't end when it was supposed to end.
:temp like:When people assume you're of a particular political persuasion without bothering to consider otherwise. Case in point: I was talking to a couple of guys from church yesterday (not actually at church) and they started talking about "our candidate", meaning Donald Trump. I had to inform them that Trump was most certainly not my candidate.
I've had this happen before, both on the Republican and the Democratic side of things.
Didn't you move to Germany for your job? When hiring people never reply and let you know anything about a job app. At least have the courtesy to send a form email or something. Assholes.
Didn't you move to Germany for your job?
Yeah. Moved back. It is a long story. The short of it is that my company sold off our division and with the new owners my job would be dissolved, so I would have been unemployed in Germany with my family there. So I found a company that moved us back and it turned out to be a turd so I negotiated a severance and am now on the job hunt.

As my father taught me when I was getting my driver's license: "The person with the highest bumper has the right-of-way."

This morning at a farewell breakfast for a coworker, I questioned the amount of money that we were each asked to pitch in as I knew the leaving coworker's breakfast was not $24. But I paid it anyway because I wasn't going to argue about $1.50 or so. Apparently I'm now the bad guy because my money just got handed back to me saying "it was covered." Of course it was covered because everyone was overcharged. But all I wanted was to pay my fair share, and I get a figurative slap in the face because I questioned it.
I'll admit I'm weird about money. I'm the annoying accountant that figures out what each person owes down to the penny when I'm in charge of splitting up checks -acceptable among my friends, apparently not my coworkers. Good to know.
