In fact, more then half the electorate dislike both Clinton and Trump. Trump is ahead in that respect, but barely. It's likely that some, certainly not all, of the electorate simply do not want to put in office the candidate most preferred by the alt right and their ilk. Like myself, they may feel that is the option that poses more danger, or strikes them as the more undesirable option. You can certainly say that segment of the electorate is brainwashed, if that's the only way you can explain the situation in a way that makes sense to you, but you would be mistaken in doing that. I had asked you a question, over in the Never Trump thread. I asked is it possible you find both unqualified, but would not be disappointed if Trump won, relieved even, and is it possible I find both unqualified, but would not be disappointed, relieved even, if Clinton won. I indicated the latter does apply to me, although I probably lied, lol. I don't find her as unqualified as him. Although you did not answer at the time, not a problem, I do the same I'm sure, I do think you will be relieved if Trump wins.

Sorry if I overlooked your previous question. I cannot imagine feeling good about either of them winning. Both are so flawed that I believe the only solution is looking elsewhere. Only one other candidate has a shot. Gary Johnson isn't a candidate to get excited about, but he's not one to be feared either. The only way this happens is for massive numbers of good people who are currently using your logic of voting for the lesser of two evils to say, "Wait a second. I cannot in good conscience vote for either of those slime balls. I've got to try something else."

Every little town, village, city you name it had tons of Trump campaign adds and contrary I did not see a single Clinton add. How do you think most of regular Joes in those areas are going to vote? In my neck of the woods he is extremely popular. Almost any criticism, no matter how well presented, justified or small goes unchallenged. Usually with personal insults and propaganda. Like "You're and idiot and illegal immigrants bankrupt the state" with nothing to back it up.

Anecdotal evidence aside, it is difficult for Trump to win. National polls are kind of irrelevant. The important thing is polls in swing states. Trump would have to win a whole bunch of swing states that he's currently losing for him to be elected.

But there are still 2 months until the elections, and anything can happen. But as things stand, chances are Clinton wins.

To me, brainwashed = believing Trump to be more ethical than Hillary. This election isn't about large numbers of people supporting Hillary Clinton. It's about choosing the lesser of 2 evils, more so than most elections.

But we've all been brainwashed into thinking those are the only two choices. I get why people think that's the case, but wouldn't it be cool if the masses revolted?

I don't rent. I own my home. I hope to have it paid off by the time I'm 40. I have a bunch of land that will definitely be paid off before I'm 40. My truck is paid off and I have two more years on my Corolla. My wife makes 46k salary. My pay used to be up and down because I ran my own business. The best I did in a day was $2,800, the worst was $0 to keep my guys busy. I saved a bunch of money and went back to school when my 2nd was born.(cause the grass is always greener) I got half way through my associates and life hit me like a ton of bricks. The last year has sucked donkey balls and I have had a lot to deal with emotionally and financially that I never expected. I wanted to do something meaningful so I accepted a job making $10 an hour helping at risk teenagers. I liked working with the kids but I just could not justify it financially and I wasn't sure that what I was doing was the best thing for them anyway. Recently I accepted a job as a cable guy hoping that wed-sun would allow me the time to finish an engineering degree. I get paid piecerate and am currently weighing my options between going back to the IBEW doing the electrician thing or working short hours making 40+ an hour doing rigging work while I finish my degree.

He in essence blamed Washington for being raped: “You have a young woman that was in his hotel room late in the evening at her own will.” And then Trump— even though Tyson had already been convicted by a jury—despicably questioned whether Washington was even raped, noting that a video after the incident showed her “dancing with a big smile on her face, looked happy as can be.” Trump then added, “It’s my opinion that to a large extent, Mike Tyson was railroaded in this case.”

And here's some thoughts from the Donald:

The cable network I listen to most (satellite radio) is MSNBC. Of course I knew the Ailes story, but I never heard it presented the way it is in that Salon article. It seems to be a pretty slanted presentation, but maybe I'm wrong. I had not heard these settlement details before. It still strikes me as odd to say they are being payed for either of those roles.

You will get no argument from me in support of Trump. I don't know the specifics of either rape case you've posted his comments on so I'm not sure if there's any justification for what he says or not, but I do know that in several instances where he has talked about situations I'm familiar with I hated his skill at manipulating the truth, and even moreso the way he lies without remorse. It leads me to believe that he can and will lie about anything. (I feel the same about Hillary, BTW.)

I've had personal dealings with several of these types of narcissists. In my opinion, once someone shows themselves to be that sort of liar it's foolish to ever trust them again. There's a big difference between telling a white lie and using deception to destroy other people for your own benefit.
