Do any of you guys remember this guy?

Maybe one of the JFC old timers can tell us a few things about his game, and what he meant to the organization. tia

Burks is the opposite of Wolverine. I remember last year I thought no way could he actually still be injured, but then he came back and didnt look entirely comfortable. There is something weird about his body that must make him injury prone and the Jazz are trying to give it time to correct itself.

Could what the Jazz are doing save his career? Maybe some other teams would rush him out and he would just get injured again. Hard to say without hindsight.

Here is a picture of him when he met Bruce Willis, just before his legs shattered for no apparent reason.

I was actually able to find a picture from the last time he was on the court. I had to smuggle it out in my pants so the lady in the special collections section of the library didn't stop me. burks.jpg

I don't feel he is injury prone... just one horrific fall that caused a ton of issues. I hate Paul pierce so much.

The shoulder thing I felt like was a one time occurrence that could be fixed completely. That hot may have long term repercussions because of the issues it caused in the ankles and knees.

Good news is it sounds like Favors stick the landing and is approved for full bal...I mean basketball activities.

Is that the guy who took pictures of his wang? Or maybe the guy who was building pillow forts?

Is this the game thread? If so when does the game start?

Anyone else excited that Favors is going to be back? Defense should win us this game. Lakers look like they have a decent offense but I think they will put up a lot of inefficient shots. The Lakers also look like they have no defense so our offense should look pretty good again like the Portland game.

It is mysterious. The injury didn't look that bad; he walked off the court under his own power. Remember Paul George's injury? That was horrific, and now he's back, good as ever. Hard to say what's going on -- the Jazz won't tell anyone, as you probably know the beat reporters have been trying to find out.

If Paul George would have had our training staff, then he'd be 6' underground right now. Would've had a nice casket, though.

The Jazz have told you. There just isnt anything to update us on. He had to get surgery in the Summer because the initial surgery wasnt successful. Alec has to pass test to make sure his body is fully healthy, he hasn't passed them. I don't know what else the local media can really tell us. The Jazz are just playing it super cautious. I know he is practicing but hasnt been cleared for contact.

It'd be cool if we could get his balance test scores and see the exact progress, but not teams discloses that level of medical information.

I'm sure the mystery of AB will be released when we finally see the deleted Clinton emails.

Burks is a big-game hunter... think of the wolf in pulp fiction... or even mother****ing Tron...

These "Early season storylines/questionmarks" type of conversations kill me these days.. I'm floored. they out-do themselves.

I never really understood why the selling point needed to go past "this is basketball season, the greatest team sport you'll ever ****ing see"

(but i digress)...

To me the fact that Burks is so readily lumped into these type of conversations speaks to the average fans disillusionment...................... Alec Burks is a ****ing rediculous bargain, at the prices of the last 2 summers.. So much so that no one here shoud have a bad word to say about him...

The Jazz are extremely fortunate to have him. I don't need to see him close 100 regular season games to believe he's capable, I don't need to see himtake 1000's of 3's to believe he's reliable, I don't need to see him come off the bench 100x to know that he light it up.. The footage speaks for itself...

Now I certainly don't have any insider info, but I can tell ya for damned sure, when all the chips are on the table, Alec will be the last ace Quinn's holding up his sleeve.
