What's new

The One-Day-Early Let's-Do-It-Again thread - 11/4 da Spurs

we're now 1-3 against playoff teams

I wonder how many teams there are in the NBA that would've, without their best player, gone 2-2 or better with a schedule of @ Blazers @ Clippers @ Spurs vs Spurs.

I'm going to guess not many. Maybe even none.

Did I say Favors is playing good. I clearly said he played badly today. The ****ing hot take of him forcing because Gobert got an extension is utter garbage.

educate me oh wise one. just make sure you use that internet tough guy lingo while you do.

look our best player isnt a star. its not like were missing kd, lebron, russ, curry. Hayward is marginally our best player. we have tremendous depth, or at least we're told. we should expect things from our team.

you said missing practice with teammates affected favors. shouldnt it affect hayward? just trying to understand your logic.

If I really have to explain the difference between what is possible during IT Band Syndrome rehab vs a broken finger then I dont feel like I have the energy to have this conversation.

What exactly is a hot take?

I'm not following. Did you think we were going to sweep the Spurs this week without Hayward?

hot takes all around

Meh, I was very critical after the clippers game, but I didn't think we were all that bad tonight, just a confluence of factors that we don't have total control over. Injuries, fouls, Kawhi...

Jumping to a conclusion based on little to no evidence. Like if Lebron misses a game winning jump shot someone like Skip Bayless will proclaim "LeBron doesnt have the clutch gene" or "Lebron must be thinking about chasing Jordan, that's why he missed the shot".

Claiming Favors bad game is a product of Gobert getting an extension is a pretty good example of a hot take.

obviously i know the difference, youre a little easy to get going.. and yes, i think hayward will make a difference coming back. and yes, i think favors will be pressing to do things he's not ready to do. and yes, i expect favors to get better with time, and yes i think our offense is not nearly as effective as it could be. conversation ended, rest your weary eyes poor thing.

Favors might be pressing to get himself going, that is a natural thing.

To claim it's a product of extension his teammate received is utter nonsense.
