What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

I like this Swanigan kid. He's a monster... pretty skilled. Not sure why he's in the twenties... is it because of his pig tails?

Because he is a 6'8 center who moves like Al Jefferson. Super skilled on offense, not sure how well his offensive game will translate and if he can survive defensively.

Looks like he moves pretty well. His jumper looks smoove... tough to evaluate defense with respect to lateral movement in college since there is not a lot of space and they don't get switched on the perimeter.

He's got passing shooting and rebounding though I'd be happy with him at 25 as a jazz fan.

Yeah, he is moving great where has just has to sit in the paint on defense constantly and never leave it because of college rules. He has improved athletically but he is still an undersized center with limited mobility. I'd rather not draft that.

Swanigan is really only 19.. whoa. He can definitely become an NBA guy if he keeps working on his game. He will probably never be an elite defensive player at any position, but he knows how to play the game

I'd take him in the 2nd round to play on the Stars, but never in the first.

Idk, I probabaly wouldn't even draft him. But I think he can be in the league for a long time as long as he keeps improving and stays in decent shape. He knows how to play basketball well for a guy his age and size.

Are you guys seeing this? T.J. Leaf is a PF who shoots 45% from 3's and he's predicted to go around #23 - that's right in our range.

I think we need to take a serious look at him.

Terance Mann is an outrageous oversight in dx's sophomore rankings. They don't even have his name spelled right in the database (They've got it as Terrance0

Miles Bridges is a prospect to watch out for. He's been touted as the next Draymond.

is that what they are saying? he's not like Draymond at all, IMO. reminds me quite a bit of Carmelo - probably not as natural or skilled scorer, but more explosive athlete. don't seem him as a do it all type and defensive stalwart like Draymond.

Y'all know Caleb Swanigan was a 6'2" 360-lb 8th grader in a homeless shelter in Utah..? I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they take him in the 1st. I wouldn't necessarily compare him to Al, he's worked himself into marvelous shape, I'm fairly certain he takes his diet much more seriously than Al.

thats a pic of him before he got adopted. biological father was/is a crackhead iirc

What do you guys think of Dillon Brooks NBA chances? tough, athletic, can shoot the three - a little crazy. i'd be tempted to take him late first or second round. could have a Hood-like impact as a late first guy. like Hood, doesn't do much other than shoot/score, but he's really good at that. TS at 61% right now.

Also, John Collins is a machine.

Kansas got lucky that was an awful play design at the end by Scott Drew, seemed ignorant to the lateral quicks of KU's defenders, no reason to inbound the ball to a player heading in the opposite direction of the hoop with 8 seconds and an athletic disadvantage.... terribly wasteful. Tremendous showing from Josh Jackson despite just 16 points.

LaGerald Vick's one offensive rebound in this game was noteworthy imo. I really think he's underrated. He's clearly got the tools to be a starting NBA SG IMO... Better prospect than Tim Hardaway Jr, who I always vouched for here..

Donovann Mitchell with another stalwart effort for UL, he saved them from the upset. His emergence seems to be an underreported story too..

Cincinnati wing Jacob Evans with yet another solid all around stat line in victory.

Jalen Brunson seems to be really coming on lately for Nova too.. He's definitely better than Jawun Evans I don't give a damn what anyone has to say about that matter.

Doesn't Vick have some other concerns beyond basketball stuff that may have some people lowering their ranking of him? Not sure if I'm remembering correctly

2nd rd pick he's got t-rex arms and profiles as a career bench player.. if he had a 6'10"ws it's likely he wouldn't even be in college this year.

I like him tho, he's crafty in small spaces, natural scorer and has ice in his veins. I knew about him before he got to college and was mentioning him here as a Fr.

Allonzo Trier's better.
