John Collins continues to dominate. He's must see TV for me at this point. I record every WF game. Followed up his 31 and 15 game v Duke with 22 and 14 tonight and the game winning bucket on a tip in.
Now sitting at 11 straight with 20+. And I'd have to check to be sure, I'm pretty confident he's shot 50%+ in all of them, 60%+ in most. You just don't see this kind of college player come around very often. Besides his obvious skill and relentless nature, Manning demands they feed him in the post.
Having said all that, I'm not sure he can be all that effective in the NBA because in order for his strengths to be utilized properly, a team would have to be committed to going to him in the post, almost like the Jazz did back in the day with KM. I don't know if that's realistic in today's NBA and frankly I don't know if you can win way. Perhaps his most likely role if he is going to be good would be similar to Kanter with OKC as an instant offense guy off the bench who they feed in spurts on the low block. He's a bit better, more committed and smarter defender than Kanter, but of course that's not saying much- he won't defend very well in the league. Not as strong, but a bit better run/jump athlete.
If Wake makes the dance, they could make some noise with that dude down low and pretty good guard play and decent 3pt shooting.
