Following potential 2017 draftees...

Fans of Vezenkov should check this kid out stitches. Kristian Sjolund from Norway, a 6'9" SF born in '99 now resides in the HS class of 2018 and plays ball in Texas. He's well under the radar, gained plenty of hype at the recent BWB camp..

He's a dead eye shooter and a much better athlete than Vezenkov or Vassilis Charalampopoulos..

Looks interesting. Is he committed to any school? Vezenkov and Charalampipoulos were never mistaken for great athletes. Their games are almost entirely based on skill and extremely high BBall IQ.

BTW DX has a video on Vezenkov they posted yesterday:

Speaking of glass cannon offensive players word is the nations leading scorer (by a wide margin) Marcus Keene could be grad-xferring to Duke or Michigan for his final year of eligibility. If you haven't seen him play check this out, he's a deadly shooter off the dribble even better than that midget from Oakland who the Cavs drafted..

That would certainly be very interesting. I would love to see how he plays with a bigger school.

I would take a flier on Nigel Hayes with the DET second-round pick. That's right where he is projected right now.

No he's got offers from Boise St., High Point and Rice but thats sure to change by this summer.. If he's those measurements 6'9" with a 6'11" WS he can easily play PF and easily play for a high-major. Pro prospect.

Vezenkov looks great in that video.. he'd definitely have one of the fastest lefty releases in the NBA if he plays..

In a scenario where there's an exodus of international lowerclassman talent from the draft. Hayes could make it back in my top-60. He's not a bad fit in Utah either.. They'd be much better off with Motley and a great number of other bigs I can name tho.. Cameron Oliver, Mo Wagner, Jeanne, Simanic, Ojeleye and Jordan Bell

Specifically about his shooting, I've compared him to PF version of Klay Thompson. He can shoot it from any position and quickly. His release is super fast and he shoots it with or without preparation, with or without his feet being set.

MJ Walker made it!! His trajectory thru the rankings/court of public opinion seems nearly identical to Dwayne Bacon IMO.

Can't wait to see what the International team is gonna look like. I hope they invite Sekou Doumbouya for the next 3 games.

I just barely started to look at this years projected prospects so I don't have the same amount of knowledge about these guys yet that you guys do. But watching some videos I came across this intriguing late first/early second round prospect and was wondering what you guys think about him

Can you imagine him next to Rudy? Poor offenses lol.

Could you imagine Jeanne backing up Rudy for a couple years. Learn how to play like Rudy but work on his 3. Then have him start along side when he has gained strength and shooting.

He is further along at this stage the Rudy was offensively.

I have liked Jeanne since last year but he has a lot of work to do.

I'd love to get Vezenkov at pretty much any point in the 2nd. Think that would be a great pick. Focus on his athleticism once you draft him (before and after you bring him stateside.) Kid can shoot the ball.

Almost all of those guys will be out of our range, IMO. I agree though.

Donovan Mitchell is an intriguing long-term replacement for Hill.

yeah he could very well play/workout/combine himself out of range tho.

Andrew Jones is a very interesting replacement IMO.

I've got him in the 1st of my mock. I think Chad Ford does too he says some NBA Scouts swear by him or something like that.. He can get to the rack and he's 6'4" athlete sorta like Burks.. I've been hyping him here since he was ranked..

I think Kyle Guy would be good to draft and like redshirt a year in the D-League/bench, they can assimilate him.

Jalen Brunson is an interesting player too I think he can handle 15 productive MPG off the bench next year. He's very advanced.

Jawun Evans from Oklahoma St. is someone to keep an eye out for as well. Averaging 18 points and 6 assists per game.

What about Exum?

Exum would start ofc, but you have to have someone take Exum's place if he is starting. Though I would expect the Jazz to sign Darren Collison or Dwill to be a backup in the case of losing Hill, so maybe they wouldn't be as desperate to trade up to draft Mitchell. In any case, he is reminiscent of Hill and would make for a good backup to Exum, or successor if Exum doesnt work out.

I'd rather take Kyle "Top-Bun" Guy and red-shirt him a year in the d-league with maybe SOME bench duty.

I hope Wyoming wins the MWC tournament and gets an automatic bid.

Justin James and Hayden Dalton are legit both out of state recruits too, they pulled James all the way from Florida.. Dalton from CO. Both are pro prospects and likely to return, they should be a 20+ win team next year.
