Playoff Game 3: Jazz vs Clippers 8pm Mountain Time ESPN 2

I want to hear a refree explain why what CP3 did is a 4 point play but what Diaw did wasnt. It's literally the exact same thing.

I would love for the refs to call Jordan on one push or over the back... the one were he put Boris into the first row was bad.

Pity Hayward didn't believe the Jazz could score in the last 3.3 seconds and throw that ball casually. You have to believe and stay focused until the end.

LA was trying to foul Ingles and Hill for 2 FT so he threw it away before a 5sec violation. Good strategy by LA

The game I watched had Boris and Favors thrown to ground while boxing out, clippers grabbing at Ingles and hills arms when they reached for the long rebounds and....

the jazz not answering with the same physicality.

I am pissed at the ref job for sure, but the jazz could grab hold push back.

Lol. What's funny about this is that on one play, I think it was off the inbounds, Hayward straight up pushed his defender, like full arms extended, sent him back about 5 feet. Hayward was extremely physical tonight. Hill and Johnson were also very solid. Can't fault them at all.

Favs is undersized against DJ and Paul penetrated whenever he wanted. This isn't all on Favors and Bolomboy doesn't lead us to a win.

There was a dribble... the real thing on the CP3 thing was there was no contact. Hill actually backed off and that was why it had a chance of going in... the mbah a moute call was truly egregious.

Favors wasnt the reason we lost. He wasnt great but he did a decent job of slowing down Jordan. Favors is hurt, worn out and playing at a position he sucks at. Favors has never been a center and has never been good at center, especially against a physically stronger and more athletic player. He hurt us but so did everyone not named Hayward, Hill and Neto.

JJ was 1-6 on open threes. Inlges defense was not as good and he shot 3-8 on open threes. We missed a lot of FTs. Favors needs to make at least one of those although he could hardly move by the end. Inlges and Hood have to make their FTs.

Diaw was useless on offense and defense. Mack sucked *** in his minutes.

Hill and Hayward played their asses off. Hayward ran out of steam and energy at the end and was getting mauled every play. They almost willed us to a win.

We are in trouble though. If Gobert does not come for game 4 I am not sure we can win that. This one really hurt our morale and Gobert I think is our only solution to that. We have a must win game in game 4. I dont think we can expect to get more out of Hayward or Hill, someone else has to really step up and have a big game in 4 or we have to have Gobert back. If Gobert returns and we win game 4 I think we have a good chance at winning this series. Assuming Gobert looks and plays up to his normal standard.

Definitely isnt all on Favors. The on-ball defenders of Paul where doing a decidedly worse job getting over teh screen in the 4th quarter.

Favors and Hood are a joke. Favors did nothing in 38 minutes. Hood played 20 minutes and put goose eggs in rebs and assists.

Bur Favors was pathetic in every way. An embarrassment the entire game and sealed the atrocious performance with two bricked FTs to seal the loss and waste great performances from gtime and Hill.

I don't know how I feel after this game. Hayward finally exploded like I thought he needed to, but in the end I felt unsatisfied by his performance. It's like drinking Red Bull & Jack Daniels...I have polar opposite feelings going on here.

That is good way of putting it, he was amazing on offense, but the jazz needed someone to step up on the defense, and instead I saw Hayward standing watching the rebound battle, or watching a tipped pass go lazily past him, or watching chris paul breeze past him.

Ehh, IDK about that. Would have to rewatch the game, but most of his shots seemed pretty easy. The one that really frustrated me was they had a switch at teh top of the 3pt line then they switched back, but as they switched back it left CP3 wide open for a 3 that he drained.

The runners were contested and pretty tough I thought.

The three was one of about 5 total mental mistakes by favors. He's not mentally there or not smart enough to play at this level.
