Following potential 2017 draftees...

Are they though? Gobert weighed 240 when he was drafted.

Jeanne currently sits at 209.

That's a picture of Gobert when he was with his French Club team, Cholet. He is skinny, but he has some trunks on him. Not rail thin legs.

Jeanne has toothpicks for legs.

If the Jazz take him they'll send him to P3 and get him in the weight room. All the guys at the end of the first have something to work on.

Eh, they are just legs. Several basketball players have skinny legs. Kevin Durant isn't supported by tree trunks. If he has potential I don't care how skinny those legs are. It's not a beauty contest.

Cy likes em thick.

Not sure if there has been a ton of discussion on semi out of SMU... I think I'm pretty awful at projecting draft guys and he is old, but man he tics a lot of boxes for me. I'd be pretty happy taking him with either first round pick.

Not much of a fan of leaf... makes threes and can finish but I think his game is pretty limited.

Could talk myself into Kennard because he's a shooter but am concerned with him having the length to compete at the NBA level.

Giles would be a worthwhile gamble. Last couple drafts some top rated guys have fallen and proved to be good values.

This is one of the more interesting drafts in recent memory. There's a lot of depth and not a whole lot of consensus outside the top 10. It's a good draft to have two first-round picks. Jazz will probably get both a big and a guard in the first round.

the good thing is legs are an easy fix to bulk up. I read an article on rudy a while ago and the jazz had to get him to work his legs and that is all they had him do because players typically work upper body because that is what girls like as rudy said in the article. It looks like jeanne is also guilty of this as his arms look decent he needs a lot of leg work.

Going back and looking at what Bam Adebayo did in HS makes me think he's being criminally underrated. DX is now showing him in the 2nd round. If he measures okay at the Draft Combine and once he shows that he can handle and shoot a bit in workouts, he has to rise. His stock has got to be at an all-time low right now.

This is Adebayo in high school. Yes these are highlights, but clearly he has the physical talent to do the things that Favors does, and he's at least as polished as Favors was as a freshman. No way this guy isn't at least a mid first-round pick.

If he's somehow on the board at #24, I'd feel a pretty strong urge to take him. His potential is on a whole other level from TJ Leaf. Is he a complete knucklehead or something?

I think Shawn Kemp is a good comparison as his ceiling. I think, I maybe wrong, that he has short arms. I may have read that.

I think it was his lack of production at uk that has doomed him. He showed nothing but being able to dunk it.

I think the jazz should nab him at 24 then take the best guard available at 30

I also think bam will be this year's skal. He was expected to dominate in college and when he didn't his stock dropped

His standing reach in DX is an inch short of Favors and the same as Lyles. You pretty much have to look at him as a PF and expect him to develop his face-up game.

UK was very guard dominant and didn't create much space for Adebayo to work. Favors had a similar situation at Georgia Tech and had a disappointing freshman season, but it didn't stop him from getting drafted 3rd.

That doesn't excuse his low rebounding numbers. Those often translate. And you can't say he'll get better when he bulks up, he's almost 20 years old and 250 lbs.

Lyles has me a little leary of another UK one and done POTENTIAL guy. Although drafting at 24 and 30 makes risk a little more expected than drafting in the lottery.

Not sure why people are high on Bam. He could be a nice energy big off the bench. I dont see a great feel for the game and even though he has a great physique for such a young age, he is undersized at the center position. Center is stacked in the NBA right now. If you arent an incredibly skilled or long prospect, you arent going to go high. Bam is neither. I think the back end of the 1st round to early 2nd is a fair draft spot for him.
