Simple question.

My vote is yes. To go from out of the playoffs to the second round in one year is something this team and us fans should be proud of.

The question is a non-starter. Mods, please lock.

Depends on how it happens, they could get swept but have like 2 games in their grasps and lose it on some shotty officiating.

Thats very different from;

If they get demolished in 4 straight games(a la the 2012 playoff series), then the answer is an obvious NO. Because (as I've said all along) whats the point of win-now moves if you're really just a pretender all along, to me that'd be a crystal clear signal of "OVERPLAYING YOUR HAND".. That'd also signal the Rockets are easily more positioned to try and upset, and IIRC they were projected to win at-least a handfull less games than Utah this season.

You don't do "Win now moves" just to win in the first round, thats just a simple gesture. The idea is to be truly competitive.

Yes, they've gone as far as I expected. Truth be told, I expect the Warriors to sweep, I just hope it's a hard fought four games. If the Warriors sweep and none of the games are competitive, then I would be disappointed in the series, but not the season.

Yes, I saw them as battling to get past the first round which they have achieved. Given all of our ups and downs, I think the team has met my expectations for the year, with potential and hope for next year. Taking into account all of the injuries we had I'm happy we made it this far. I am a bit worried about Burks and Favors and hope they can overcome the hurdles that have riddled them..

Depends on how they lost, loose 4 tight games then sure that's the way the cookie crumbles, get blown out and not be competitive then no. Additionally if everybody leaves at seasons end through free agency then its all kinda been for nothing, if they stay and build on it next year then its exciting times ahead.

No matter what happens this series I am ecstatic about this season. They completely blew away all expectations. I really just sincerely hope that the broken players (Favors/Hood/Burks, et al) are able to get fully healthy and fired up during the off-season. I also hope they whole group works on their free throws, damnit. But there is no way this season could be seen as anything but a rousing success.

I'm already happy. Warriors will not affect that. Now if Utah pushes this to 6 or even7, or god forbid wins, than I will be screaming, half naked in the street. Utah is past due for a sports riot.

Only half? Lightweight.

My thoughts almost exactly. This season was a success. Period, for me it was a success before the playoffs started and as long as they didn't get blown out of the 1st round series I was going to be happy. To beat the Clippers and make it this far exceeded my expectations coming into the season. Getting the 5th seed made it a success baring getting blown out.

I see that either melojazzlicker or coloradoturd voted.

They are good with poles.

They won't get swept. The Dubs are weak where the Jazz are strong, in the front court. If Favors can contribute, we won't be an easy out.

All the pressure is on GS.

We are supposed to get swept.

I think we take this to at least game 6 if not game 7.

If we get to a game 7 ya never know.......

good news is this thread will only be relevant for less than 12 hours!

because after those 12 hours jazz will be up 1-0

he is saving the full nakedness for the championship parade this june!

he will streak across naked and steal the trophy from the team

and god forbid starts humping the trophy in the middle of the street

First off, ain't gonna be no sweep, so gtfo with that.

But yeah, anyone who votes no is a moron. Lots of teams spend years trying to get past the first round. Building a team that can go deep in the playoffs isn't just doing a good job, but depends a lot on luck, such as keeping players healthy. Sure, clips lost Blake a few games in, but Utah played without Rudy almost as much, considering the last game because of fouls. Not like the treadmillers, er trailblazers getting to the 2nd round with blake AND Paul injured.

This rebuild is officially a success, and just how far we go from here will depend a lot on luck.
