Would you take lillard if...

wow, kudos to him for answering. Bet that made his agent cringe! Someone retweet @ Indiana George

I still remember first game of this season he hit the game winner, Joe Jesus had 28 points, then he dropped 50 on us last match.

Leonard is still young and can shoot the ball. A change of scenery might do him good and we know Utah fans love having white guys on the team. Lillard I's a beast

Must kill you knowing even though you took that little jab at Lakers that you know players would rather play for them then the jazz. It has nothing to do with the team but the city the team plays in. Imagine if say OKC or Memphis had your team. They would get a big name free agents because Jazz have a solid roster of glue guys and role players. They are a star away from being dangerous but will never get a star to move to Salt Lake City# Truth#

I can totally see lakers fans being annoying and saying lillard is coming to LA. lol

Well they think all the free agents come to LA

If Blazers have any real interest in moving him and they are not asking a ridiculous amount the Jazz should go after him.

Hood would be a good fit for them. I am not sure what else they would want from us though. Obviously draft picks but we don't have any good ones. I doubt they are interested in Favor's, Burk's, Exum or Lyle's.

yeah. most players prefer LA over Salt lake. more party scene and LA stuff

not sure how you interpret my post that way. lol When did I say players prefer salt lake over LA?

just said all lakers fans think all the free agents want to play in LA.

last time a superstar signed with LA was shaq... and it happened cuz magic messed up.

"IF" the blazer move him it would be in conjunction of dumping some nasty salary that they have. It actually probably wouldnt take a lot to get him just have to take back turner's awful contract. Or harkless and leonard. They would probably still want Hood

So if the Jazz did make the trade and send hood, diaw and burks to the blazers for Lillard, harkless and Leonard

The Jazz would have to probably dump Lyles and maybe favors to stay below the tax line

I dont think Salary is any concern to Portland but they would try and shed salary if they trade Lillard. Although I dont think that would make or break a deal for them. It definitely doesnt boost the deal enough or that much.

Would you take lillard if you had to take on the contracts of Meyers Leonard and Evan Turner?

If they called and asked for a package of a couple of either exum, hood, Lyles, favs or draft picks?

Portland is in a contract hell with who they have signed.

McCollum has played well and is bigger then lillard.

This is a what if because Leonard and Turner have awful contracts.

I love Rodney Hood but even I would take this swap. It would also have to depend on how many picks and how high they were but on the surface you take this trade and run.

Did you hear Locke yesterday say that he knows the ownership has given Dennis Lindsey a green light to go into the luxury tax to get Lillard. He quickly followed up by saying there is no-way portland is letting go of Lillard, but if it ever became a possibility Lindsey could do it.

Locke and and Spence Checketts spent a few moments trying to come up with a trade scenario, and quickly gave up. Jazz don't have enough right now.

When does Lillard become a free agent? We need to go HARD at him then.

Well that's interesting, and if Lakers get Ball, not sure they'd want Lillard, right??

Exum, Hood, Favors, our 2017 and 2018 and 2020 1sts for Lillard and bad contract.

Enough? Too much?

Lillard-Neto
Ingles-Burks
Hayward-GS pick
Diaw-Joe Johnson-Bolomboy
Gobert-Muscala-Bogut

Plus we would have two 2nds to fill out the roster. Not sure I love that roster.

Too much. I would go...

Favors, Hood, #24, #30, 2018 OKC
for
Lillard and their worst contract

2 starters and 3 firsts for a good player and bad contract is pretty strong.

I would love Lillard and taking on Leonard's contract is easily worth it. I highly doubt it'll ever happen though, Lillard is loved in Portland

You do almost whatever it takes to get Hayward, Lillard, and Gobert on the Jazz. You take ALL of the bad contracts in need be. You pay luxury tax out the nose in the short term. At that point you have those 3 under contract for 4 years. You sort the other stuff out over the course of the next two seasons and add pieces when you can, and see if you can make lemonade out of those bad contracts.
