Rubio traded to Jazz

I have consistently said they would and should try to stay under the tax this year, because they will for sure be over starting next year, if Hayward re-signs. So yeah, I expect them to make moves to stay under the cap. However, those moves will come AFTER Hayward makes his choice. With all the reports of Hayward wanting Hill back, I'm sure DL chose to risk losing Hayward to make cost cutting moves now?<massive eye roll>

I didn't say that... just saying we are cost conscious and I think that contract figures into this... so does everything else:

certainty
Hill's toe
Keeping Ingles too

It all factors in. I would be shocked if we kept Hill... completely shocked.

I thinking packaging Exum + Favors for Love salvages this deal.

Get it done DL.

Love this pickup ,Ricky Rubio a Jazz.

This definitely means Alec Burks ,Rodney Hood or Dante Exum shouldn't buy a house in SLC yet.One of them(Alec Burks)most likely won't be around the next season. The jazz offense looks to be a funner offense to watch with Rubio playing and the way Hill was torched by opposing PG's showed his defense was over rated and probably wasn't going to get better.

Revised lineup pre free agency,

PG) Rubio, Williams-Goss,Exum

Fixed it for you.

While I think there is no way we re-sign Hill I could absolutely see a sign and trade. I'm foggy on how the rules work there now... we haven't seen team do it in a while... would Spurs send something our way for him?

Nope. I'll bet they still go after Hill. If they can re-sign him, they can still flip Rubio at the deadline and avoid the tax.

This is just DL being proactive with an insurance policy on missing Hill. `

Does it get tiring being wrong all the time? I'm guessing it would.

I've wondered about this and pray to God you're right but I just don't see it happening. We'd lose Ingles, have trouble selling Hill and Rubio on this, and would really hinder Exum's development once again, despite his supposed amazing growth.

If we were gonna lose Hayward, I would've preferred it not be over a one year rental of Hill and loss of a 2016 1st rounder.

Hill is for sure gone. The Jazz would be balls-deep in the luxury tax if they tried to keep him after this, assuming Hayward stays.

Anyone else uncomfortable with a guy called Rubio who is a BRUNETTE??
