PG to OKC

Us with Hayward still >> Wolves and Thunder

I agree but Wolves are creeping up fast, they will probably have Teague as well. That is a scary starting lineup. Teague, Butler, Wiggins, KAT and Dieng is solid. They can all shoot from three and hopefully their coach gets Wiggins and KAT to start playing defense.

Houston, Minny and OKC all with major steps forward.

Clips a step back

I'd take Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Wolves, Thunder and Jazz over almost any west team.

I'd have easily beaten that deal to rent him. Sabonis/Oladipo is peanuts. Dumb move to not try to build a one year Super team version of the 2004 Pistons.

We'll see how you feel when they lose Westbrook AND George next year for nothing. This is a really risky move by OKC that could send them in to a long, drawn out rebuid starting with almost no significant assets.

Anyway, we don't really know that DL didn't try to get in on it, or what our price would have been.

Meh. Wiggins is extremely overrated. And I question the overall fit of those players tbh.

Except for landing Hayward. East is so much easier now this means Hayward gone

I'm baffled by this. A good player leaves bad team in the East and this shifts the balance of power between the conferences enough to sway Hayward?

What???

Day by day, Danny Ainge is looking dumber and dumber. I see a pattern happening here...
Jimmy Butler? no deal
Paul George? no deal
Blake Griffin? no deal
Gordon Hayward?....

Boston was going to pitch super team to Hayward. That's no.longer an option.

They could lose George AND Westbrook, which makes this extremely risky. They claimed they were going to trade Westbrook without an extension, but we'll see if they decide to gamble. George is gone to LA for sure IMO.

Hmm, I disagree. Wiggins is fantastic for a player his age(22) and having 5 players who can all shoot and some solid defenders is a solid base. They just need Wiggins and KAT(21) to keep developing. I think Butlers work ethic and insistence on playing hard defense will rub off well on those young guys. I think they are still a couple years from being scary though. When KAT and Wiggins are mid 20s.. watch out.

I'm sad that the Jazz didn't get in on the PG13 sweepstakes. The Jazz have basically been building a modern version of the 2004 Pistons. PG13 would have given them a STAR two-way player who could complete that vision.

Rubio, PG13, Hayward, Favors, Gobert - Damn!

Mitchell, Neto, Hood/Exum (assuming one would be part of the trade for PG), JJ, Bolomboy and Bradley. Maybe keep Jingles.

Trade Diaw for a backup PG or PF. Add an MLE guy and a couple of minimum veteran righ chasers. . . that's the 2nd best team in the West. Plus, not extending Hill/Jingles gives the Jazz some cap space to bring PG back if they could talk him into abandoning his LA dreams.

Great move by the Thunder. It's probably just a 1 year rental, but they got out of Oladipo's terrible contract. I expect both Westbrook and George to leave next year.
