I agree completely. We should be using "forcibly sodomize, metaphorically" instead.

Yeah, I'm sure victims of sexual abuse think that's really funny and/or humanizing to them and their experience.

I hope(d) grown men could figure out why that's a ****ty thing to do.

I still say a pair of 2nds.

Pivot up to top-20 protected 1st that conveys to two 2nds if the protection kicks in.

Pivot to one lottery-protected 1st that conveys to one 2nd if protection kicks in.

Final offer: one lottery-protected 1st that conveys to two 2nds if protection kicks in.

pretty close to my thoughts. I may pivot first to a pick-swap, but I haven't looked into the nuances of those deals in a while.

Did anyone hear Geltzeiler this morning on 1280? PK got worked - he was so not the one to be interviewing him. He had no memory (or at least claimed to have no memory) of all the shade thrown Geltzeiler's way last year when he said Hayward wanted to be traded to Boston. Geltzeiler was right a year ago. PK, ugh, is so bad. Checketts sucks. Locke - I like Locke, but he is a schill (I do like his in depth analysis, in spite of his schilliness).

I do feel bad for PK. Man, his circuits were completely blown by Geltzeiler.

I wish PK had asked different questions, but maybe he's overworked. He didn't seem at all prepared to engage this guy on anything. Shoulda had Checketts or Locke on to go toe-to-toe and either defend themselves or admit they were wrong. Having clueless PK do the interview was unfair to PK and unfair to the fans who remember last year's hoopla over Geltzeiler's claims of Hayward wanting to be traded to Boston.

Geltzeiler mentioned how the Celts don't owe the Jazz anything, referring to the talk of a sign and trade, but PK didn't pursue this. UGH. Instead, he was talking about "but Isaiah Thomas is only 5'9" " ...it was embarrassing. Pk needs a week or two off to recover. Man, it was bad.

I'd really like someone with knowledge to talk to Geltzeiler, but after what happened to PK I don't know any of the dorks on 1280 have the balls.

My bad... you are right that is really ugly of me and I apologize to those I would have offended. I will figure out a less sensitive word... sorry wasn't thinking straight:

Could we please stop using the word "rape" to describe things that are not rape? I'd rather allow everyone to just reflect and figure out why they shouldn't do it than explain why. Pretty self-evident.

Sorry, I already sent it. I guess I shoulda spent 5 hours on it.

Perhaps Numberica has been a victim of rape. My apologies if you were hurt by my using that word.
It was a metaphor for Danny Ainge's rep as a negotiator. It's not original - I didn't come up with it. People use it all the time to refer to unfair trade negotiations.

It's a valid use of the word. Definitions include:

3.
an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation:
the rape of the countryside.
4.
Archaic. the act of seizing and carrying off by force.

Check out Hollingers response to Geltzeiler's report on Memphis trading Conley. Dude is a hack he got lucky with this Hayward thing. PK was def. uncomfortable.
