Kuzma looked good. He wasn't terribly efficient, but he showed some nice signs. Tatum isn't a stellar defender at this stage, but Kuzma still made good plays.

He matched up with Tatum on many possessions. Boston started 3 SF's or small ball 4's in Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown, and Semi Ojeleye. None of those players are slow big men (they played 1 big, at center, who Kuzma did not match up with). They are actually all quite ****ing athletic. Try watching the games or at least doing some research before you throw out your ********* claims.

You have no facts. You clearly lie through your teeth when discussing recent evens that are easily fact checked if anyone bothers. You just said Kuzma matched up with slow bigs when he was primarly guarded by Semi Ojeleye, Jayson Tatum, or Nader.

You said NWG was our best PG and he can't even do jack **** in 3 SL games.
 
So to be real, it was definitely cringe-worthy as to the amount of inefficiency Donovan showed today with his offense, and how many shots he took. The problem is, you have to give the ball to him because who else will score?

I don't usually jump to conclusions very quickly about players, especially young ones/rookies, and it might be unfair to comment on NWG in terms of what he's going to look like in 4-5 years from now, but my goodness, has he done anything? I don't expect him to be great, or even good, in this SL, but is being decent or just average a lot to ask. A lot of work will need to be put into him, a lot. Right now, he doesn't make the team.

I'm very high on Donovan of course, and have no doubt he will be a very solid NBA player at least, I really like Griffin (he needs to be signed, definitely). Bradley is okay, he's done some nice things. Bolomboy has disappointed me, we need to see more.

In estimating that Goss was our best PG on our roster, it wasn't a claim that he was very good. It was a claim that our PG situation was really bad. Even after the Rubio signing, do we really feel good about our PG position right now? Rubio, Exum, Neto, and Goss? Really? Can we honestly say it's better than last year when we had Hill?

It sounds to me like a certain blocked poster is trying to get a rise out of me through others when she knows I rarely pay attention to her nonsense (that's why she's blocked).

So ok. You win. Exum looks better than Goss as he's only been asked to put his head down and out-athlete anyone in the SL. Can we really claim that Neto is significantly better? Both Neto and Goss are fringe nba players right now. Both have the ceiling of being perhaps decent backups. Nothing more.

Ha, ha. When I first signed up for jazzfanz, before the big crash and rebirth, I only posted occasionally but everytime I posted one particular user would always follow with really nice compliments. It was weird, and I couldn't figure out why he was typical jazzfanz salty elsewhere but very nice replying to my posts.

Then one day I posted something controversial, several posters blew me up, but my "friend" blasted them back. Finally in exasperation my "friend" told the other posters to lay off because the forum needed more women posters and for a woman Mellow was really well informed.

Some of the other posters asked how he knew mellow was female, and he pointed out some obscure page in the user profile. Then there were several apologies, welcome to the board and someone even asked if I had friends to invite to jazzfanz.

I didn't see all those posts until I logged back on hours later. Wtf! I had to dig through my profile settings to find a male / female button that I never recalled seeing when I registered, then went to the thread to set things straight. It was awkward for a while with my "friend". I went on hiatus from the board for a while after that and thankfully I don't remember who the poor chap was.

After reading your post today I went looking in the profile settings for a gender listing, but couldn't find it. Either Jason took it out or it is still buried where it is not easy to find.

Hahaha, that's hilarious.

Unfortunately, Thriller and I have been conversing for years. He fully well knows my gender. Just odd that this progressive liberal would call me a different gender as an insult. I'm not offended, just amused by his hypocrisy.
 
The realgm SL thread is fawning over Tatum. Top 10 future player, all star minimum, man among boys, better than Hayward by year 3...

But no mention of how Mitchell thrashed him so bad that his parents considered putting him up for adoption.

Tatum does look pretty damn good though when Mitchell isn't around.
 
Also seeing all the posts about "x and y" on the various teams makes me really wish that the Mitchell and Exum who was in Vegas.
 
I've only seen a few Tatum highlights. Is he pretty much just a ball-stopper/ISO player on offense? If so, it may be tough for him to contribute much to a winning team initially.
