NBA Free Agency Moves in General (related to the Jazz, but not just moves made by the Jazz)

I'm obsessed lately with Euro dudes that could help us and wondering what people think about Chris Singleton coming back to the NBA? Could play 3/4 and shot well from 3 last year for Panathinaikos.

I have this music montage vision in my head of Quin and Bryant turning these wayward NBA turned euro-league guys back into amazing contributors in the league. Please don't neg me....

Never heard of him. Is he an analytics guy? Us winning 51 would stun the **** out of most people who don't pay attention to us and think Haywood was our whole team lol

I mean, I think he is a guy who definitely looks at numbers and things, but he isn't like Kevin Pelton where it's pure analytics.

Johnson was 41% (and can be a big or wing)
Ingles was 44% (I also think he can play the 4 too)
Hood was 37% (despite being plagued by injuries and having poor shot selection at times)

I would say that is shoot the **** out of the ball good.

I'm curious to see who we add as our 3rd (or 4th depending on how you view Burks) wing in FA. There are still some good shooters left, so we might go that route, or we might try to pick up an athlete/defensive player.

Anthony Tolliver still exist too, which I think is a no-brainer addition.

I'd like one more of the Anthony tolliver or ersan illyasova bargain bin shooting big wing types. I think we will need JJ to play some 3 this year... I expect him to play 4 too just not sure how much it will take a toll on him. If we moved favors to find some creation and shooting I'd be more convinced.

And Mitchell would **** It up anyway by winning ROY and 3rd team All NBA and getting us to the 7th seed.

If Mitchell is that good the Jazz don't need to tank.

Hell, if Mitchell is that good, then not trading for George and convincing Hayward to stay becomes an even bigger mistake.

Avery Bradley
Aaron Gordon
Jabari Parker

Yeah, infection was right, the 2018 free agent class isnt great.
Wiggins too? Are all these dudes restricted?

I mean, Rudy obviously helps too.....

With Minny, Denver, etc improving, everyone would be shocked with 51 wins.

A lot of teams got better and we lost 40 points a game and suddenly our savior is a rookie?

Tom Haberstroh of ESPN predicted us to win 51 games btw.
Wow, I'm one of the people who thinks we will be pettty damn good next year and this shocks me even.

I feel like we are probably around 45 wins. But, I don't think 51 is crazy to believe. We won 51 last year with Hill, Favors and Hood all missing a significant amount of games. We were tge most injured team in the entire NBA. It's plausible that we could have won 55-60 games last year just by being relatively healthy. And it's not like we were setting the world on fire offensively with Hill and Hayward. We were a low scoring team. If we get everyone healthy this year, Rubio's passing sets people up for easier looks and some of our young players improve then 51 is definitely possible. This team is still going to be a top 3 defense. That's what we're built on. And it's going to win us games.

If Ryan Anderson didn't have that last year on his contract I'd be curious about swapping him with Burks. I think we'll have to go for Ilyasova to add some shooting. We still lck a lot of rebounding off the bench unless Bolomboy or (less likely) Bradley can contribute anything.

I also think we should try to engage on Kevin Love.

I think we will win 51 games but not because of Mitchell. He might help a little but I would be very surprised if he was our starter or even 6th man for any significant time next season unless we have some big injuries.

People just setting themselves up for disappointment. As excited as I am about Mitchell, I'd be happy if he's a plus contributor in his rookie season.
