All just so true, the memories of a bright youth filled with promise have long faded, my body full of internal and external scars, its getting toward the end of winter here and the scar tissue hurts daily. I certainly haven't got any easier on the eye as the years have gone by and I certainly wouldn't describe my nocturnal existence scrapping away a living at the coal face of man's hostility toward man a life worth a bucket of spit. As far as a beating heart goes? Jesus don't get me started. I'm not actually Slavic by the way I'm Friulian.

GRRM has referred to Jon (and others brought back to life by the Lord of Light, like Lady Stoneheart) as whites. They're whites reborn by fire instead of ice.

GRRM said they were wights, not whites. Wights aren't vulnerable to dragonglass and they are probably not vulnerable to valyrian steel as well.
