My current draft board for the Jazz:
1. Irving
2. Derrick Williams
3. Kemba Walker- He is a scoring point but next to a play maker like Hayward that works. He is also a tough, fearless leader. Think of him as a taller better JJ Barea. His defensive limitations and lack of elite passing ability limit his ceiling.
4. Brandon Knight- He is so young and is a good-not-great athlete. But big guards that can shoot are valuable. He could be an inefficient combo guard or he could be the next coming of Billups.
5. Biyombo- I tend to like athletic defensive players and Biyombo has the natural shot-blocking and rebounding ability to lock down the paint with Favors for the next decade. Ben Wallace with a hope of an offensive game.
6. Kanter- Doesn't fit with the current personnel but he is a skilled big man. There are some questions about his NBA defensive ability and his knees. The Turkish Boozer.
7. Valaciunas- He has 3 assets going his direction. Great hands. Good length. Good enough athletic ability. He also has professional discipline and desire at 19. He played an important role on a winning team against men in a pro league. He shot 70% from the field and 92% from the free throw line. He will get stronger in time. He has shown a nice hook shot at times. I am banking on his work ethic to fill out his offensive skill set.
8. Vesely- A tall athletic big man with the possibility of playing SF. He struggles to finish through contact and catch the ball cleanly. The best comp I have had is Tom Chambers.
9. Leonard- Shawn Marion but with a smoother game.

Singleton improved his shooting from 22% last year to 39% this year. That is a positive trend.
NO! Singleton shot 30% from three last year and he shot 37% from three this year.

Dang, I just wish we new what pick Utah has. Is it May 17 or May 18 that the pick placing is set? And how many of you think that the nba is rigged? Just wondering? I think that if the Nba is rigged;
that the Cavs will get the number 1 pick (becasue Labron James left for nothing),
Toronto will get the Number 2 pick (because Bosh left for nothing),
Utah will get the Number 3 Pick (because David Stern wants to make a point to the players, about small market teams not wanting to lose there best player in free agency, So they trade them(hoping David Stern said trade Dwill and I'll get you a top 3 pick),
Minny will get the Number 4 pick becasue they cant drop any futher and who our they going to draft?

The insider article regarding the Morris twins has peaked my intrest on marcus. Apparantly he has crazy range ans slashing abilities.

The Morris twins are among the most intriguing prospects I've seen in the draft. Later this week, ESPN will be running a column I wrote about the likely possibility of their being separated for the first time in their life and their deep desire to be drafted by the same team.
But for now, the focus is on their workout. So how did they look? In short -- really, really good.
For starters, I was floored by their ability to shoot the NBA 3. Typically, that's a major adjustment for draft prospects and, at this early stage, even good shooters are throwing up bricks as they adjust to the difference. But both Morris twins are stroking the ball effortlessly from the big boys' line. A combination of strength and picture-perfect shooting form gives them a great advantage in making the transition.
Other than shooting ability, there are a number of differences. I thought Marcus had quicker feet and was more explosive off the bounce than I saw at Kansas. He showed off a pretty impressive arsenal of skills for a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward. He's clearly the more skilled and aggressive of the two players.

No jumpshot??? Have you seen his percentages, especially the upwards trend he has been posting as of late?
Poor shot selection is a big problem, especially transferring over to the NBA where you wont be getting nearly the same amount of easy looks or slack defenders. Again, UT utilized the flex system to give Hamilton better shots, the offensive system of his team was a LOT more disciplined than Singletons. Add to the fact that Singleton was only 2% down despite this, and it makes for for a decent case in Singletons favour. I am personally very fond of even drafting him at 12, I think hes mroe capable of a player than both Leonard and Burks. People have been referring to this draft as one of the years where a later first rounder will prove to be one of the biggest finds, IE rajon rondo. I really hope we consider Singleton, in the end KOC knows best i suppose.

I'm getting more and more excited for this year's draft.
On the US small forwards: I think a lot depends on the kind of system Corbin's going to run. I like Leonard most (and he'll probably be drafted earliest) because of his versatility. He may not create his own shot well, but he's a good passer, ball handler and is unselfish. He's also a great rebounder. I don't think either Singleton or Hamilton come close in these areas. It would be fine to have a defender/athlete of Singleton's status, but he really does sound like he'll have a tough time doing much to help offensively. At best, maybe he'll be a kind of (earlier-career version of) Raja Bell at SF -- with better athleticism. But expecting him to be like Ronnie Brewer offensively sounds like a reach. I really don't want any part of Hamilton. Sounds much too one dimensional -- I strongly expect CJ to end up with the better career. Can't really comment on Morris, though I'm fairly concerned about someone who may not quite have the quickness for the position.

Ford says Marcus Morris is similiar to Granger and can easily switch between three and four. He is a power three.

I think a lot of people are looking for future Dwights, Lebrons, and CP3s in this draft. I think there are going to be a lot of guys like Singleton, who no one really talks about, ending up being the real players in this draft. There might not be a Lebron James in this one, but there are plenty of Millsaps, Gerald Wallaces, Shawn Marions, Wes Matthews, and Gary Neals.

I like Chad Ford, I think he has good pipelines for information, and he's knowledgeable. But every year I lose count off how many guys "floored" him in workouts or "shot the lights out" or "looked much bigger/stronger/faster" than they did in college. He's a little bit exuberant about college guys like Vitale used to be. And I never get excited when I hear guys drilled 3's in an empty gym or posted up their twin brother really well.
